The Road To The Super Bowl
You're right, that wouldn't be fair. But, we're safe here, because one of the two has never won a playoff game as a Bronco.

The Road To The Super Bowl
So, Peyton, how does it feel to know that Tim Tebow has more playoff wins with the Broncos than you do?

Does your wife share your passion for firearms, and have A LOT of knowledge about them?

I Feel Like Branching Out
Do you have any experience running your own business? Are you good with a budget? Do you have a LOT of money on hand to have a high inventory? Do you already have a Class III license? Are you a gunsmith, or will you hire one? Two observations: If I want an AR-15, and come to your store, but all I see is some lame bolt action rifle and a rich man's shotgun, I'm going somewhere else to buy a gun. And, when I decide to buy a bolt action rifle next year for deer season, I'm going back to the shop that sold me the AR-15. I'm loyal like that. Also, you said in the hunting forum that you didn't get out even once this year to hunt because work is so busy. Is this gun/tackle shop going to be a part-time or full-time endevour? If it's going to be part-time, you better find a new full-time job because you don't have the time to put into it to keep from going broke. If it's going to be full-time, you better be sitting on some cash because you aren't getting a paycheck for a LONG time. Not trying to squash your dream, but if you do it, do it right. Make a detailed business plan, and someone you know and trust in this industry to go over it and help you edit it to reality. Good luck!

Hi Point 9Mm
I have a different oppinion of Hi-Point than most here. I've actually owned one (a .45). It was accurate and reliable. I've shot a lot of the "nicer" guns, and they are smoother, but the Hi-Point will fire when you pull the trigger and it was more accurate than some of the high-dollar fancy name brands I've shot. Here are the negatives: It's big, heavy, and ugly. It's so big and heavy that if you got in a bad situation and you ran out of ammunition or the gun jammed, you could just throw it and it would still be a deadly weapon! I bought the Hi-Point a few years ago because it was what I could afford. I figured a cheap gun had a better chance of protecting my famly than no gun. Since then, I traded it in (for about the same price I paid for it) and bought a Kel-Tec .380 that fits nicely into my pocket. I didn't have anything against the Hi-Point other than the fact that it was too big to fit into my pocket. Good luck, and good shooting!

How Did Everyone Do In The Deer Season?
Killed a doe with the bow! It was my first year bow hunting. It won't be my last!

How Did Everyone Do In The Deer Season?
Killed 8 deer total: A mature 6, an old unicorn that needed to be culled, and six does. We've been eating good! Saw right many decent young bucks, so the future is looking bright. Nice job on your first buck!

How's The Duck Hunting In Your Area
Quack Attack (B.J. West) I would highly recommend him. Great guy, and knows how to put you on the ducks.

How's The Duck Hunting In Your Area
The inland hunting in the swamps around Eastern NC is poor. No migraters here yet, so we're just shooting a few woodies and the occasional mallard. However, I just got back from a three day hunt in Stuttgart, Arkansas and we had a great hunt. It was during the full moon so we were expecting a tough hunt, but the first two days we killed 29 and 32 birds respectively. The final day was a bust (only killed four), but the guide took a gamble to put us on a spot that would have given us the hunt of our lives or nothing. We got the nothing, but we were all onboard with the gamble. Now, it's back to the swamps around home and blasting away at the woodies. If you haven't hunted Stuttgart, you should. We had a great, hard working guide, who did an awesome job of putting us on birds under tough conditions.

Having A Tough Time
You have two options: 1. Forgive him of the things he did in the past and try to enjoy the time you have left with him. When he dies you will have no regrets and a clear conscience. Is there a chance that you'll get hurt in the process? Yep. 2. Allow his sins of the past to haunt you for the rest of your life. You can ignore him until you read about his death in the newspaper, and you will be eat up with guilt. There is no chance of getting hurt with this option. Instead, hurt is a guarantee. When we forgive someone, we aren't letting them off the hook. We're letting ourselves off the hook. Please be there for your dad. It will be awkward, painful, frustrating, and disappointing at times. But, it will also be rewarding.

Chris, the "human species" is made up of "individuals".

I Know Political Threads Are A No-No, But An Exception Should Be Made Here.
Well, if you would quit eating so healthy and working out so intensely you would cease to be part of the problem is a more timely manner!

On a related note, there will be a tin-foil hat making party at my house on December 22nd (if the world survives the great Mayan apocalypse of 2012).

Oh, thanks for the explaination. This isn't a political thread. It's a science fiction thread.....

Tree Rat Gun?
I'm sitting in the woods with my ruger 10/22 right now. Hundreds of bushytails have fallen to her. (I Squirell hunt a lot.)
