  1. How cool that two brothers finished so close to the top, with one coming out with the ultimate prize!
  2. If I wanted to talk to her, I'd respond. If I didn't, I wouldn't. But, that's all just hypothetical.
  3. Perspective. I love it!

First, I believe it is illegal to transplant fish as you are describing it. Second, their "natural reproduction" has been "enough to sustain their numbers" for the past few thousand years. Third, what happens when you transplant fish from your little pond to a public lake, and you introduce a disease to the public lake? If you want to do something, practice catch and release, and teach others to do the same, but please don't mess our public fisheries up. Leave the stocking to the professionals.
  5. Who looks down on the blue collar man? I've got a college education, a white collar job, and am pretty good with numbers/finances. My education and experience teach me that there are a lot of blue collar folks who are better business men, more well respected, and make more money than most white collar folks. For example: I'm a pretty handy guy, but I got into a bind on a plumbing project a few years ago and called a plumber to come to my house on a Saturday. He told me that he was at a birthday party, and that it was going to cost me an arm and a leg to get him to leave (I appreciated his honesty). He was at my house for less than two hours, and in addition to the parts I paid him $500. This white collar guy didn't look down on that plumber. I was glad to see him show up, and didn't mind paying him "an arm and a leg" to do a job that I couldn't do myself. He did a good job, and left with my money and my respect. I preach in an agricultural area, so the best business men, the most respected men, and the most wealthy men in my community are farmers. I guess the attitude towards the blue collar man is different in other areas. But, here in Eastern North Carolina, we respect a blue collar.
  6. This is a public service announcement: TODAY IS VALENTINE'S DAY. (Just a reminder for those of you who may have forgotten)
  7. Exactly. If the NFL wants family-friendly, yet popular, country is the way to go.
  8. We've had some great Super Bowls lately. Even if your team isn't in it, if you're a football fan, you've gotten to watch a good game. I hope this trend prevails until the Cowboys make their next Super Bowl appearance (2052?), then I'll be hoping for a blowout!
  9. Sore loser? My goodness, your team lost in a great, close game. The majority of football fans would love for our teams to have been in the position to lose the Super Bowl on the last play of the game.
  10. I didn't say the Giants were a wild card this year. I said they were when they beat the Pats in the Super Bowl four years ago. I agree with you, wild cards are great!
  11. So, you'd do away with the playoffs? And, the last time the Giants won the SB, wern't they a wild card?
  12. I've got sloppy does, turkey sandwiches, baked chips, and chocolate pudding. As far as the game, I hope the Pats win. I respect what they've done over the past decade. But, mainly, I'm a Cowboys fan, and just can't stand the stinkin' Giants.
  13. The gunman can plead "Citizen's Arrest"
  14. My observation of everyone who has posted in this thread (up to this point) is that the guys who have said they frequently offer free advice are a whole lot more successful in their fields than those who are stingy with their knowledge or skills. Root Beer, I hope you'll take the advice from the generous men instead of the selfish little boys. Generous men win. Selfish little boys lose. Be a winner. Do the right thing and find out the answers to your family's tax questions.
  15. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
  16. C'mon Glenn, don't be like that. Your beloved "Stealers" can't be there every year!
  17. I'm blessed with great in-laws. My wife and I enjoy spending time with both sets of our parents. They let us live life, and don't offer an opinion on the decisions we make, unless we ask them.
  18. Awesome hunt! Thanks for posting!
  19. He was on here a month or so ago. He said he was doing good. And, you're right, Jimmy is one of the nicest guys on here (or anywhere).
  20. The game is on Saturday. Just wanted to let you know, so you could see them nasty birds get beat!
  21. Still bitter about that Super Bowl?
  22. Always. Even if I'm fishing a farm pond, I'm fishing a tournament in my head.
  23. Tom, folks jumped off the Cowboys' banwagon back in the mid-90s. All that's left are the faithful few who are sticking with the star until death (or another NFL lockout) do us part!
  24. An hour round trip at midnight for baby wipes? Your problem isn't where you live, but what you constitute as an emergency. You're going to have a very difficult life if running out of baby wipes is a big deal. Just grab an old rag, paper towel, or some good ol' TP, and wipe that baby's butt off. The kid will survive until you can get to the store and buy some more wipes, I promise.
