  1. see, no offense, while it looks nice, it also looks fake as hell and theres no way id want to hang that on my wall. i could go buy any old replica at walmart or somewhere for a fraction of the price if i wanted that. its not about chest thumping at all. it is more about looks, for me anyways. and i, myself, prefer the skin mount look to someones model kit. the fact you want someone to put a fish back so you can catch it later is also selfish. There are plenty of fish out there, and big ones too, no need to put up a fuss because someone hangs one on their wall
  2. i havent really seen too much on the details in depth, but i mentioned a couple above in a prior post. mostly these disputes are always about money, once thats worked out the other details fall into place fairly easily for the most part... At some point, all officiating crews are going to miss calls/not see a penalty that occured, its just part of the game, that i can live with. in theory you could probably call holding on every play. but some of these crews have made horribly bad calls. if theyre going to call something, atleast get it right. for example, a punt downed at the 4 yard line cannot in any way, shape or form ever be ruled a touchback and moved out to the 20, no matter any penalties or what not. yes this happened in a game, i described it above. buffalo had to waste a challenge for the refs to get the call right...
  3. im 33 years old and all i have is a tracfone. All i need it for is to make phone calls, which i dont do a lot of. More so keep it in case of an emergency or something. im not a big fan of phones as it is. for as little as i use it, its not worth it for me to get a smart phone and have a plan and all that. i probably spend less than 200 dollars a year on minutes, and i get double minutes...
  4. the cowboys are too injured and not worthy of drafting anyways =]
  5. hmmmm, as much as id love to, i think i will pass. if i join one league then i find myself in 4 leagues lol
  6. Robert Griffin III, because i feel like being biased not because i actually believe it(yet) lol
  7. i like a lot of the small rebel lures and own a small collection of them. The last one i bought though was a Tad Fry, designed to imitate a tadpole, its been deadly on bluegill for me. a lot of times fish come up and hit it before i can even start a retrieve. its a real small bait and only one treble hook to deal with. The thing i like about rebel lures is theyre great for panfish and catch bass as well...
  8. not even one? or two? huh? no? guess that ice cold budweiser has to wait
  9. who needs Hustlers when you have the internet lol
  10. he threw more interceptions than anyone ever in the game, but he also threw a ton of TDs too. You can hate him all you want, but its tough to deny that he also helped them get all those wins over the years...
  11. its not a stretch by any means. youre just failing to look at it from all possible angles. I'll have to remind myself not to associate with someone like you. Im not a thief and dont appreciate being alluded to as one. You seem the type to jump to conclusions about something with nothing to base said conclusions on, good luck maintaining friendships that way... finally, atleast someone is able to think objectively about it...
  12. LOL Brett Favre is a huge part of why the Packers went to the playoffs so much in the last 19 years. I doubt they go that often without him...
  13. hilarious list #2 is deep yo lol
  14. History wise, some teams with great histories have failed to been mentioned. The Redskins have a long history, as do the Giants, both having been around since the 30s. Also the Bears have a great history too. Looking back at the Redskins history, i have to throw Sammy Baugh out there as the greatest NFL Player ever in history. The guy did it all on the field and still holds records from the 30s and 40s. Your boy Shane Lechler almost took the punting average record from him a couple years ago. Yeah, Baugh was not only a Quarterback, but a punter and played in the defensive secondary. Only guy in NFL history to throw 4 TD passes in one game and intercept 4 passes in the same game. No way you will see that happen in todays NFL. The guy was tough as nails...
  15. Just thought you cowboys fans would like to know that your best player on offense is out the rest of preseason and possibly beyond. Jason Witten has a spleen injury and suffered internal bleeding after a hit he took in the raiders game. Its not yet known if he will need surgery, its possible he wont, but hasnt been ruled out... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/08/15/witten-out-at-least-for-rest-of-preseason-with-spleen-injury/ also, Packman89, thanks for the debate. youre right, we probably wont see eye to eye on much there. Sorry if it seemed like i was attacking you at times, its nothing personal, sometimes i get pretty fierce when debating football. I cant wait till Thanksgiving day...
  16. None of that changes the fact that Murray still isnt a scoring threat. He still has to prove he can stay healthy and carry the load. Both of these are currently facts at this moment, you cant argue them. Could he prove me wrong in the future? sure. It has nothing to do with him just having a star on his helmet. It goes beyond that. I admitted to hating the cowboys, but that has not been the basis of my argument. Ive stated facts to support my position and opinions... WRONG!!! Now youre really turning this into something its not. Like i said above "I admitted to hating the cowboys, but that has not been the basis of my argument. Ive stated facts to support my position and opinions." Tell me one thing i said that is 100% blatantly false or isnt widely open for debate just for the sake of trashing the cowboys because i hate them. Youre really stretching here to defend your team. There are Cowboys players i respect on the field, Romo isnt one of them. And of course youre not comparing Romo and Brady against each other, because then you would be contrasting, not comparing. Their stats could be exactly the same and it doesnt matter, one QB lead his team to the Super Bowl, the other QB couldnt even lead his team to the playoffs. I understand perfectly, youre reaching so hard to defend Romo that youre throwing out a pretty ridiculous scenario about him being similar to Tom Brady, thats pretty laughable. Phillips was taxed with managing the whole team, Ryan only runs the defense. Plus players tuned out Phillips at the end, they will do the same to Garrett in a couple years. Also dont act like you have no talent because you do. You have Ware, Lee, and Ratliff. Ware is perhaps the most dominant defensive player in the league, lol at no talent semantics. im done talking about austin. just another overrated cowboy player You may have finished above us, but you still only have 1 playoff win in that time since 2006. 2 winning seasons, yet just as many playoff wins as the cowboys. Skins been around a lot longer than the cowpukes, that stat means nothing otherwise. you may have more super bowls, but you also lost more super bowls. Plus skins have championships from before the superbowl era. plus the cowboys had to blackmail the skins just to get a team to begin with. LOL at that americas team BS. enough, just stop it please. this is about the Cowboys and their current team. you are 1) trying to make it about the redskins, and 2) past cowboys history has nothing to do with the current team. nice try with the diversion tactic. dont let espn hype you up too much with their unwarranted cowboys hype like every year...
  17. youre missing my point. Clary knows he didnt abandon it, we know that too. but the person picking it up and taking it doesnt know that...
  18. its about a little bit more than money. the NFL wants some of the Refs to be fulltime NFL guys, and they NFLRA doesnt want to agree to that. as for money, i read yesterday that they were around 100,000 apart per team. There is probably some more things they disagree on anyways... oh and the NFL wants to hire 3 more officiating crews, the NFLRA doesnt want that either. As guys with poor performances can more easily be replaced...
  19. Im not trying to justify anything, but its a possibility. People leave lakes all the time and forget they left behind a rod and reel or their tackle box, and dont realize it till sometime later. It wasnt purposely abandoned, but it was abandoned. The point is he shouldnt be leaving things of value laying around in the open, even if only for a few minutes. Recently i had my floating old school metal minnow bucket stolen off my uncles dock at Smith Mtn Lake over night, i got it for $5 at a yardsale. I left it tied up to a rope on the dock when i wasnt using it, it wasnt a big deal that it got stolen really. but you know what i didnt leave on the dock overnight? my tackle bag and 6 rods and reels. Sometimes you can abandon something simply by leaving it behind, whether purposely or accidentally. either way, Clary knows he didnt abandon it, but another person doesnt know that. Clary learned a lesson the hard way...
  20. i gave you a fair opinion of Murray, 13 games 2 TDs = not a scoring threat. Quit being a blind homer, my opinions of the cowpukes are not ridiculous. they are based on fact. Youre hyping them up because theyre your team, but they really arent as talented as you think they are. Every year the media overhypes them and they underachieve. I seriously dont see them as super bowl contenders. Just look at their offense in limited duty last night, Murray couldnt even get a yard. and your oline was constantly blown up by the raiders d line... Also, you ARE comparing Romo and Brady, or why did you even mention him. And if youre not going to properly read my posts so you can properly address them, then dont even bother. I didnt just say interceptions, i said UNTIMELY interceptions, which means Romo throws them at the worst possible times and it kills his team. Last year the Cowboys are the first team in history to lose 3 straight games in which they were up by 12 or more in the 4th quarter. In large part due to Romos untimely late game turnovers, is that not enough reason for you? That is a choker. Just listing stats usually never tells the full story, but you dont want to hear that, but its fact. You proved nothing wrong with facts, you twisted what i said into something else to suit your agenda and now youre getting called out on it. I am a Romo hater, I am a cowboys Hater, absolutely cannot stand them and never will, its in my blood, i was born hating them. HAIL REDSKINS!!! But i am not an uninformed casual NFL fan. I am highly informed and a huge fan of NFL football. I follow everything about the NFL year round. Sounds like youre the one thats offended, probably due to blind homerism that you cant fairly assess your own team. The thing about Garrett, again you turned it into something i didnt say. I said he passes even when their is no benefit to it. When the cowboys have a 12 point leads late in the 4th, then why is Romo still passing almost every play? All these NFL experts you keep mentioning will tell you that is exactly when you should be running the ball and eating up clock. Yet Garrett is calling pass plays and romo is turning the ball over allowing other teams to steal games from them. That or as ive seen mentioned during games, Garrett actually does call runs late in the game and romo, being an idiot, audibles to a pass. Also, Rob Ryan never coached in Cinci, it was Cleveland, yet i am the casual uninformed fan. The guy has had players to coach, his scheme just sucks. You were practically "forced" to hire him because he was the only 3-4 D-Coordinater available that had any experience in that role. Your defense failed under him last year, and Wade Phillips defense in Houston thrived while learning the 3-4 from scratch and they also had no offseason from the lockout, so thats no excuse for Rob Ryan... If even Miles Austins hamstring is a different leg, its still a recurring problem with him. and if it is a different leg, then thats probably even worse of a problem. an overrated WR with two bum hammys is worse than one bum hammy... Also after watching the game last night, your oline appears to be worse than the Redskins, and the Skins have been hit hard with injuries along the line as well. RG3 didnt get touched with 3 backups starting against a formidable dline of the bills, yet last night i see tommy kelly throwing romo around like a rag doll. and your oline getting no push in the run game...
  21. yeah i read about that. theres some other horrible calls too. redskins and bills game, the bills downed a punt inside the redskins 5, then the refs called it a touchback and placed the ball at the 20 and claimed a guy from the bills ran out of bounds and was the first to touch the ball, which was false. the bills had to challenge and they won and the ball was correctly spotted at like the 3 or 4 yard line. but they shouldnt have had to challenge at all. and still yet, if the guy had illegally touched the ball after going out of bounds, it doesnt make it an automatic touchback, its like a 5 or 10 yard penalty for that. refs got several things wrong on that one punt play...
  22. in defense of hbird here, im not even sure you read the thread here. its an 8 acre lake with houses on it, not a small tiny pond. on one mans land, atleast thats the way i see it from how he worded it. his friend has a house on said lake and thats his permission to access it with his friend. he wasnt just trespassing. the old man was mad the noodle was in front of his lake front property, thought it was in the water. and that someone set a trotline across the entire lake. if you want to grill him for the noodle and trotline thats fine, but i dont think he was actually trespassing...
  23. I agree, these replacement refs are horrible. You cant hire a guy to Referee NFL games when he has been fired from the Lingerie Football League. The NFL typically investigates your entire life before hiring anyone as a referee. Most of these replacements would never be given an NFL job. The NFL needs to pay the real Refs and get them back to work atleast by the regular season opener...
  24. Murray may rack up yards on occasion but still isnt a threat to score, only 2 rushing TDs with those 897 yards. Plus over a quarter of those yards(253) came against a horrible Rams defense. Plus he still hasnt proven he can stay healthy for a full season and carry the load. We already know Felix Jones cant either. You said he will have a great breakout year, i disagreed, no idea how that turns into me being offended. Romo is a choker for several reasons. The botched FG snap is one of them, the numerous untimely interceptions is probably the biggest part of that. Plus if he is so good then why does he have only one playoff win? and not a true team leader, as evident by spending playoff bye weeks in cabo with jessica simpson, and missing practices to play in the US Open Qualifier round. If he didnt have Witten to bail him out so much, i would hate to see how bad he really is... And you can try comparing Brady to Romo all you want, i will take Brady all day every day over Romo. Brady has 5 SB appearances and 3 SB wins. Romo has nothing close to that. Brady elevates his team to heights above and beyond where Romos ladder can even reach. You may not know Garrett well enough, but i do. He has been with the Cowboys awhile now. He often tends to ignore the run game in favor of the pass. Even in situations where there is no benefit to passing. as for Rob Ryan, i guess you just misunderstood my post about him altogether. its not about the talent he has, his defensive scheme just sucks. it sucked in oakland and it sucked in cleveland too. As for Austins hamstring, its been an ongoing problem for him and caused him to miss games last year, its not just a preseason thing. it lingers with him.
