There were 14 cars still running. Only 7 on the lead lap.

What 'custom' enhancements have you made for your boat? (other than decks)
I once turned the lid around on my livewell so my wife could pee into it easier. I'm not kidding either.

Post counts
Excellant idea. Yep, really good.

Danica Patrick Wins
Sort of. It was a textbook Danica race. 1. She qualifies decently. 2. The green flag falls and she either remains in her position or moves backward. 3. Somewhere between laps 1-15 she calls into the pits complaining that the car is either pushing or loose. 4. Pit stop 1. Changes made, no help. 5. Pit stop 2. Changes made, no help. 6. Pit stop 3. Changes made, no help. At this point the team realizes the only way to move her forward through the field is with some goofy, off the wall pit sequence. If all the cards fall right, she winds up with the lead like she did last night or at Indy in 2005. She's pretty good at keeping the car on the track and running at a comfortable pace. She rarely will be found running at the front with the big dogs. With this racing style I just described, she's bound to fall into a win every once in awhile.

Quantum- fading away???
Quantums I've owned. An IR3 Iron round reel. Good little reel. The finish on it wore off worse than most other reels but it was solid. I've noticed the finish problem with any quantum I owned or sold. Energy 400. The plastic drive gear for the level wind had a tooth break. Only a 4 year old reel and the part was NLA from Quantum. > Used a Bill Dance Quantum cheapie I was selling to catch my PB 8 1/2 lber. They were cheap reels. The spool tension knobs on those were plastic and had a tendency to crack.

Actually, that's a pre-Genmar, Mountain Home Champ. Even better! 8-)

Revo Premier
Suggestion for Garcia. Redo the mag braking system or scape it in favor of the centrifugal on the S. I've got SC's and an SX and adjusting that brake seems to effect little.

There goes an arm, leg, and half my...
I'm already on the hunt. Why drag the 18 1/2 footer to 9.9hp/electric limited or no-wake lakes? I've been scanning roadsides, craigslist, etc. I'm finding myself as excited about buying some old 14 ft semi-V and fixing it up as I was about getting a new fiberglass rig. I must have a screw loose or something.

Problem launching my boat
Your boat is sitting higher on that particular trailer style than a typical drive on style trailer which has the boat bunks lower within the trailer frame. Not much you can do with that type of setup. If you said you would be launching at really shallow ramps all the time I'd probably suggest you buy a different trailer.

Why are fast food workers complete dumb a@#'s
Isn't that what's at issue? Instructions for filling order correctly: 1. Read order. 2. Choose correct food from food area and put into bag. 3. Put cup under correct soda dispenser per the order and push button. 4. Put top on cup. 5. Put napkin, straw, condiments in bag. 6. Greet driver at window, take money, make change and hand them their order with a smile. You're right RW, that isn't rocket science OR brain surgery. Though you'd think it was given how hard it is to find some fast food places where the employees can consistantly carry out such easy directions.

What kind of boat and trailer do you have. Got a picture?

Fishing and Golf (POLL)
After reading your requirements for a good fishermen and a good golfer I have to change my answer to NO. As someone who has partaken in both sports the amount of time necessary to maintain that level of consistency in both sports isn't possible for someone who works 40 hours a week unless you're naturally talented in one or both.

Why are fast food workers complete dumb a@#'s
ding, ding, ding Heavens to Betsy. You actually have to wash your hands when you change work stations? That's gotta be stressful. That still shouldn't have anything to do with making sure my order is right and "the last thing you should do is worry about how many sauce packets they give you" : huh? How about if I get none? How about if they ask me at the drive through order station how many I want, I tell them 10 and they only give me 3? Or if I don't get any? Or if they do ask and then I get up to the window and they ask, "Do you need any sauce"? What, weren't you paying attention the first time you asked me? Or if half the order is in the bag, or if one item is missing, or if I get diet coke instead of Dr. Pepper? Is this alright? I understand the handwashing thing is stressful but I am a customer making a purchase and I'd like to get the stuff I paid for. I suppose I could dump the bag out on the front seat and do an inventory making sure I got everything I ordered. That includes unwrapping the burgers to make sure they actually are burgers and not chicken sandwiches. Honestly I'm with Matt on this one. Todays fast food workers seem far too lax when it comes to satisfying the customer but don't make excuses for poor order filling because of your job requirements. Don't get me wrong, I'm not ragging on you specifically but the attitude "hey, I have to wash my hands many times during the day, you should be happy with what I sling in your bag regardless if it's right or not" is what's wrong here. I guess if the surgeon accidently leaves an instrument inside me or only halfway stitches up the incision I should be understandable because of the long cleaning process involved in prepping for surgery. Or because traffic was heavy this morning, or because his assistant nurse had bad breathe. BTW Brett, I worked at KFC in my high school days some 30 + years ago. I'm sure the way they do things now is probably much different from my days but the one constant that hasn't changed is a rather well known bacteria called salmonella. It's quite prevalent in uncooked chicken and the primary reason you have to wash your hands so often. I'm glad KFC makes you do that. I hope you and all KFC employees take that seriously.

who is the gtreatest
Like him or not, I'm going with Roland. Bassmaster Classic wins aside, I personally believe the AOY award is more telling of just how good a guy is. Couple that with all of Martins overall wins and his record is stellar. In his prime, he was tough to beat and consistantly won regardless of where he was fishing. If you put him up againts KVD and Clunn today, all things equal, I'm betting he'd probably win the majority of T's. He was just that good.

Total Noob looking for help and advise
$3800 is way too much for that boat.

deadliest catch
That's what I told my wife. No freakin' way. The Captain was like "Eh, that will do until we can get real steelwork done." I was sitting there thinking "Dude, you just got a hole tore in your boat and you weren't even on the Bering Sea yet. Now you are going out there crab fishing through Arctic storm fronts with a patched boat?!?!" No thanks. I'm picturing a blow torch and some of those BPS aluminum patching sticks. ;D

About that Abu Garcia/Fenwick/All Star rebate offer
Update. Just got my rebate check from Garcia. So after spending $88 total on the Revo S, then a $10 ebay rebate and the $10 Garcia rebate I spent a grand total of $68 on a new Revo S.

ANOTHER CHAMPION!
Another good color combo. White caps are less likely to suffer gelfade. Enjoy! 8-)

deadliest catch
I got hooked on it when it first started. If I was a young man I don't think I could handle that. And the Wizard, getting it's hull split on the way to port before the season even starts and a patch job on the hull? I don't think I'd be getting on that boat, sorry.

Trolling motor Connection
You sure can. I have my TM hardwired. No connectors.

lucky craft pointer vs rapala x rap
I fish a pointer earlier in the season when a more subtle presentation is required. Usually when a true jerkbait bite is going on with long pauses in between jerks. The X rap is more effective when it can be worked more aggresively underwater hence, the fish need to be a little more aggressive so I wind up using it later in the spring season.
