Have You Ever Noticed/
According to those I've fished with in the past, I used to suddenly get quite and start really concentrating. Not really fishing faster but working harder to catch fish. I've gotten over that. You have good days and you have not so good. Besides, it's always fun if somebody in the boat is on them.

Cheater at the US Open
we need to be more understanding. Perhaps he had problems or needs that weren't being addressed that caused him to act out. Let's all have a glass of juice, sit back from the computer, cool down and rethink all this negativity.

Just got a look at the retail price of a new Yammie 200SHO 4-stroke
:-? what does this have to do with a Yammie SHO? 14 year olds get a lot of brain farts. Hahahahaha just saw the sponsor on the left side of the page and it inspired me to say something Sometimes silence is golden. Not when youre talking about RAM ;D We weren't talking about about RAM's though....... :

ESPN reaches agreement in principle to sell BASS
The inclusion of Jerry does make this a better deal, my only fear is his age. Not that's he's going to keel over tomorrow but it would be nice to see another young gun, bass fishermen in that mix.

Doubts about fishfinders...
1. Most of the manuals that come w/ fishfinders will state somewhere that the fish ID feature isn't accurate. Those things will show just about anything as fish. Turn it off and learn how to adjust it to get fish to show hooks. 2. Location, depth and presentation are the keys to finding and catching fish. This website has a multitude of articles listed at the top under "fishing articles". Study them and put them to use. 3. Lure choice and selection has more to do with finding the correct lure that can be presented at the correct depth at correct speed and action that causes the fish to strike it given the mood the fish is in at the time. ie: Fish in a positive, aggressive, feeding mood. Fish in a neutral mood or in a negative mood. That can be determined by how a caught fish attacked your bait. Was it a fast moving bait and the fish struck it visciously? That indicates a fish in a very positive mode. A very light bite on a subtle type bait would indicate a neutral to negative mood.

Good question. That's a toughie. Got me stumped.

Ardent XS1000 Review.... Confused?
If you're going to spend $250 for a fishing reel, I certainly wouldn't rely on reviews from fishing websites (especially that one) as a deciding factor.

How's Your Summer Going?
1. Missouri 2. 0 bass caught. Other years = many. 3. 2010 is neither. I'm putting fishing on the back burner for a couple years and getting back into golf again. It's a game I've loved but got out of 25 years ago. It's a different sort of challenge that I actually got pretty good at. This time I won't put it away when I get back into bass fishing.

Opinions on BassCat Boats?
I think he was referring to actually fishing out of an Ally. They have a slightly different take on fishability than other boats when you look at the interior layout. Reminds me of the old days when Hydro Stream was turning out bass boats. Different strokes I suppose.

Best Fishing Books?
Check into the John Hope Chronicles. There's some exerpts on this site. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/hope_chronicles.html Radio tracking studies done in the early 90's on big bass. Worth a read and info that proves that big bass aren't as hard to catch as many think. Just a matter of putting yourself in the right place at the right time.

Opinions on BassCat Boats?
As I'll be in the market for another boat in the future, Basscat will be at the top of a very short list.

Sceintific Studies on The handleing Of Bass
I've found that dipping a fish into cooking oil at around 350 degrees eliminates the worry of what happened to the fish after I let it go. Make sure to pre-treat the fish with Andy's before dipping it into the hot oil bath.

Gas gauge.
Check the wiring as well. Make sure the wires haven't broken or become corroded at the tank sender. Tank sending units are notorious for failing and all of a sudden usually.

Accident on the water
I've never understood why anybody would think they could tangle with a barge wake at speed and somehow come out unscathed on the other side. Somethings gotta give whether it's the boat or the contents, that includes the people in the boat.

Prop... When is enough enough?
TM props with dings and rough edges will create noise due to cavitation (air bubbles) off that leading edge. If the damage is bad enough it may even throw the balance off on the prop and cause a slight wobble making even more noise. You can re-grind down a rough prop at home but obviously not on the lake. Carry a spare prop for the lake if you damage the prop on the TM. They're usually not hard to change on the water.

How fast should my boat go
Is this GPS speeds or from a speedometer? Speedo's are very unreliable.

Virtual Human Technology...is here.
Gee, make believe friends.... : I suppose the upside is a virtual women who agrees with everything I say, never has a period or even a period before the period, never babbles on and on, incessantly, about stuff that nobody really cares about, who is completely understanding, encourages me to fish everyday of the week and never needs ANYTHING other than her cord plugged into 120v AC. Figure out some way to connect that to the stove, the vacuum cleaner and a Lifelike Jennifer Anisten sex doll and I see marriages ending in this country.

The Oil Well Is Capped!
The stuff on the surface appears to be the tip of the iceberg. There are large oil plumes deep in the ocean that may or may not surface. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-06-08/toxic-undersea-oil-plumes-lurk-in-gulf-of-mexico-update2-.html

Bass Boat Driving Virgin
I wish this economy was not so hard to deal with cause man I hate to hear that you had to sell your boat and I hope and pray the future holds bigger and better things for you and yours. Thanks. A little more to it than just the economy. Divorce is an evil word that hates boats. Besides, I've been bitten by the golf bug again.
