Daiwa aird x and lew's Speed Spool, fantastic value
I have a Coastal Aird X, good rod for $49.99 and a nice buy for budget minded anglers.

Popper
Lucky Craft G Spash walks good and I like even better than the Xcalibur Zell Pop. I have the Megabass popper as well but have not caught anything on it .....yet.

Lew’s 2nd Gen LFS Inshore Baitcaster
I have a BPS Inshore Extreme which is similar to the Lews and it is a very good $100 reel.

Casting Reel recommendations wanted!
I've owned Fuego CT's and Tat CT's too no differences in quality, T Wing seems to pitch better but not cast. I do think the original Tatula 100 which is similar to a current 150 was a better feeling reel and could be bought for $100.

Caribbean Sun Sunglasses
Anyone try these glass polarized sunglasses from Walmart? $82 for a glass lens with TR-90 frames sounds like a good deal, and like Costa 580's claim they are 20% lighter than others.

Color you wish more companies would make in soft plastics
I see Green Pumpkin and Brown jigs but trailers are GP, Brown, GP and Orange, Brown and Purple, Brown and Orange but never GP and Brown- why no matching trailers?

Excalibur lures
Always liked Xcalibur lures, they work and ya the Jimmy top water was a Jimmy Houston lure.

1-2 Punch, Who Still Does This?
Did that with mayflies myself, then threw a popper, small jaws started smashing it.

Mono vs fluoro
The problem I have with FC even Yo Zuri hybrid is not knots breaking but breaks in the spool. I do use Berkely Fluroshield though if I can get it on sale.

Tatula 100, Tatula CT and Fuego CT PSA
Same spool as the Fuego SV that was sold in Asia, not sure where to buy one though.

Shimano slx xt or dc
Save your money, the $100 SLX is a great reel.

More durable senko
SK Ocho works great for me, though i do want to try the Xzone one.

favorite Popper
Lucky Craft G Spash spits and walks perfect.

Why did they stop making 5:1 power gear ratio baitcasting reels?
Need a deep cranking reel for something other than bass then Shimano still has the 300K in a 4.7 to 1 ratio.

Why did they stop making 5:1 power gear ratio baitcasting reels?
They are still made, just not in as many models as before. I recently bought the latest version of the Pro Qualifier just to have a 5x reel for cranking or for hollow belly swim baits. I really like it and might get another.

best baitcasting reel around $100
I have had the SLX and Fuego and for $100 the BPS Inshore Extreme is a better reel. However it is only available in one gear ratio and the SLX is probably slightly better with light lines and lures. Matter of fact there is a new SLX out now might be the one to try.

converting to spinning reels only
I have went the opposite. 7 Baitcasting outfits, 1 spinning for Bass plus 1 spinning for pan fish. I just have better casting accuracy with casting reels.

Bass Pro Shops Extreme XML Baitcast combo
I have an Inshore Extreme reel, I like it just as much as the more expensive Daiwa Tat CT I use to own. I also bought the latest Pro Qualifier because I wanted a 5x Gear reel, have not tried it out yet but I tend to like these old dual brake reels made in South Korea.

St. Croix Triumph Rod — Medium or Medium Light
The Bass X probably has no short 6' in the lineup though. Anyway yes ML in a ST Croix.

SLX 150 A
Anyone get one yet? I always liked the $100 SLX, just curious how the new one compares to it.

Best topwater line - not braid
This for any treble hook lures. Armillo is more abrasion resistant but coils up and does not cast as smoothly.
-
Fluoroshield co-poly
I used it last year and liked it, I think it is just Berkeley Sensation with a coating on it.
-
Alternative Spinnerbait Colors ?
Quit giving out those tournament secrets.
-
Suffix Advance Mono vs Sunline Defier Armilo
X2 Armilo just coils up way too much, even with line conditioner. Shooter Defier just casts alot further and smoother.

MH Spinning Rod Question
I know people that prefer all spinning and while I hate spinning reels myself I do use spinning for skipping docks and have thought about going back to it for dragging jigs around. Now the obvious use for you is throwing lightweight finesse stuff into heavy cover.
