When Does Fall Pattern Start?
Going out this weekend for a couple of days to fish. Water temps I am assuming will be in the 80's. Weather has been hot the past two weeks. In the upper 80's to lower 90's. So should I target the fish in the coves or target them deep. Is the fall pattern started by the shorter days or change in the water temperature. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Feel Good Moment....
Learned this earlier this year and has saved quite a few fish. Great technique to know.

Upgrading Trolling Motor
Absolutely. Works wonders. You can dial in the speed to match perfectly the conditions you need. Seems to make battery life better too since you are only using the amount of juice you really need. Some of that also has to do with the newer technology as well.

Us2 Problems??
Anyone else having problems with humminbird units having a lot of interference when your minn kota is running and the humminbird is on the universal sonar transducer? What have you done to fix the problem?

Leaders
Exactly!! #1 and #2....Is mainly why I use it, but recently I have learned the importance of #3.

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Help!
I know you said that you checked the breaker, but does that mean you just checked to see if the switch on the breaker was flipped or did you try bi-passing the breaker to see if the breaker is bad? That might be one possibility.

The Price Of Free Advertising
Good point!! My kids are constantly picking up stickers at various events and in the trash in about 1 hour. However, if someone contacts a company normally it is because they have an interest in displaying their logo and and probably won't end up in the trash.

Tie On Spinnerbaits??? Split Rings
On my spinnerbaits I will cut a thin slice of clear tubing and slide it over where you tie on, and then use a snap with that. Keeps the snap from riding up the arm.

Anyone Purchased From Thedigitaloasis.com Before?
I ordered from them one time, and their website said that the unit was in stock. After two weeks of not receiving a shipping notice or anything I found a better price and from a more reputable company. So I called DigitalOasis and it took me a while, but finally got my order cancelled. They still had not shipped it. I am sure that they won't just take your money, but I don't know that you will get your product very quickly. I will say that the whole experience made me a little nervous.

When Do You Consider A Day Of Fishing A "good" Day Of Fishing?
If I can catch a fish over 14" then that is a good day for me.

To Leader Or Not To Leader?

Power Pro Zero Impact
Doesn't make sense to me either. Especially since I tie a leader to my braid anyway. No thanks.

Drag
Great post!! Let the fish wear himself out. I hate the feeling of fighting a fish and then feeling that hook tear out of it's mouth. Heartbreaking. I have much more success when I use the drag to the fullest. Only time I don't is if it is in a heavy cover situation, then it is rip and get him in the boat.

Swim Jig
I just started learning the swim jig this year and it has become one of my best producers. My best trailer so far has been a 4" grub, and I don't impart any action to it. Just cast out let it sink to desired depth and reel it in. The fish in my avatar was caught on a football head that I was swimming. The ONLY reason I was swimming the football head was because I did not have any swim jigs and I wanted to try it before I invested a bunch of money in the technique. The problem with swimming a football head is that it has a thicker weed guard and a heavier hook than necessary. There have been fish that I have lost due to not being able to get a good hookset on the fish. With a swim jig and the thinner hook I don't think that will be a problem. I have since ordered a bunch of swim jigs from Siebert and can't wait to try them out.

I'd Be Happy Only Using Senko's Forever
I can't catch much at all on a senko. I think it is because I can't fish it slow enough. Slinging swim jigs, ribbits, cranks, and buzzbaits are much more my speed.

It Finally Happened
That's awesome!! My son loves his spinning rod especially since I put yellow braid on it. Now he wants another.

Frog Fishing
Haha!!! Thanks!!! That is my fishing buddy holding my new PB that I caught couple of weeks ago.

Coloration
I always figured it was the type of cover they were hiding in when caught since they can adjust the coloration themselves.

Soft Bait Storage
Keep them in their original package and then throw them all in a backpack. Works for me.

Ribbit Frog, Weighted Or Weightless?
I prefer the weighted hooks because the added weight lets you cast them a lot further. I mainly just fish them like a buzzbait so I don't need them to sit on top of anything, or be able to pause or sink slowly. I have used the weighted double hooks mainly, but recently switched to the single weighted hook to see if my hookups improve.
