  1. Cottonmouths will come after you.
  2. See. You know what I'm talking about. Instant Gator bait. I have been in the water with them while skiing and never had a problem. Wading around and floating in a Bellyboat is a different story.
  3. Chris. You can get away with wading in jeans in Illini Country. ;D
  4. I don't have a problem wading the Florida grass flats. Not much danger there. Those canals are a different story.
  5. Waders and Belly boats are two things you don't see in the Southern lakes and rivers. It's to easy to become Gator and Cottonmouth bait. ;D Alligator Snapping turtles can put a hurting on you also. ;D
  6. We don't have that amount money riding on every fish like they do. I don't curse when I lose a fish. I just KEEP ON FISHING!!! Tightlines!!!
  7. I don't like his bleeping, but out of all the tournaments I have seen him in, he got bleeped out on one tournament. Every other tournament he did not get bleeped at all. Gerald Swindle gets bleeped out a lot more than Ike does. It's funny how some parents get offended by Ike. They wonder what their kids will think or do about bleeped out words, but they don't think twice when allowing their children to see movies that have V,N,L & SC, which none of it is bleeped out or blurred out. At least they bleep curse words out on Bass Tournaments. You can't compare a Bass Tournament to a PG-13 or R movie.
  8. Medium diving Cranks across the wind blown points. I've been using a Bill Norman's Chart/Blue Back med diver, dragging it through Cypress trees, knocking those knees here in South Georgia. If you are in North Georgia, I would use Crawish colored Cranks or drag a C-rigged plastic Crawfish across the points. The mouth of coves close to shallow water bedding grounds also would be good. Fish the North West side of the lake if possible. It will warm up first. Tightlines!!!
  9. I don't know the real deal, but I know everybody makes mistakes. Everybody on this board has made mistakes before, and I know you would not want that mistake held against you. Everybody deserves a second chance.
  10. Years and years and I'm still learning. Keep on fishing and you keep on learning. Tightlines!!!
  11. Ike is just excited about fishing. Most of the haters in the Pros have Bass ***, and they feel threatened by his skills. They all need to get over it or quit if they can't handle the pressure.
  12. Yep. It's all about time spent on the water.
  13. A lot of success has to do with cast presentation. VanDam is fun to watch. He sets the lure down in tight spots. It's almost like he walked over and set it there by hand. Once you find the fish, I think cast presentation is one of the biggest areas that separates the Pros from the Amateurs. What do ya'll think?
  14. Basser89. Do you have a link? I can't seem to find KVD's season stuff.
  15. I don't trust PETA with anything. They show up to Bass tournaments with pictures of dogs with hooks in their mouths. I would not back or show any of their videos. They are the enemy of both ethical and nonethical sportsman. They want to take away your Rods and Guns. Flush Peta from this site.
  16. I have two skin mounts on the wall from the mid 80's that still look great. 8 and 9 pounders when I was in Va. I released several 8 and 9 pounders after that. This is all at the same lake. I have yet to see a plastic replica that looks natural. It's easy to say that you would not mount if you are consistently catching 10lb plus bass. I really don't know what I would do if I caught a 12lb plus. I'll cross that bridge when it happens.
  17. Being from Georgia. I hope it only gets broke in Georgia. I'm kind of partial to Georgia keeping the record. I don't want another to state to break it.
  18. I was trying to find a list of Big Georgia bass catches. All I could find was individual posted photos. Check it out!!! This 15-lb. 9-oz largemouth bass was caught in a private Pickens County lake on May 3, 2005 by Jacob Ramsey from Bainbridge, Ohio. The bass measured 27" long with a 23 1/2" girth and ranks as the 21st largest largemouth bass caught by an angler in Georgia waters. SFC David Wardlow, of B Co. 1-306th, displays his beautiful 16 lb.-plus bass caught in Pond 33 in late January 2005, on a Trick worm. That second one came from a military reservation somewhere in Georgia. I'm thinking probably Fort Stewart's Lakes near Savannah.
  19. A Texas or Carolina rig works pretty good. It's according to how big the child is. Sometimes you can troll with them on top for Gators. ;D ;D ;D
  20. Drag a live Crawfish across the bottom and fish on. You hook a fish like that in any other place than Cali and your lines broke. Especially in the South, South East. Over there in Cali it's like fishing in a pool. No stumps or pads to give the Bass something to wrap around. If we hookup with a World record in the S or SE we'll never get a chance to find out. WRAP & SNAP!!! :'(
  21. That means you don't have to spend any money. You can make casts out your window. Cool!!! ;D
