  1. I would like to see the video of Long's big bass swimming away. It must have been an awesome sight!!!
  2. LOL. Not too many poor old Georgia boys had camera's back then. It would not matter for me. If I hung a fish like that, as soon as I see his head come out of the water I would have a heart attack and die. That's what's called DIE and RELEASE. I don't recommend that type of conservation though. ;D
  3. Yep. If that is the same bass caught three times it proves me wrong. I thought 20lb plus bass were ready to kick the bucket.
  4. Flechero. I would have took my chances by putting it in a tank until the IGFA guys looked at it. If they had certified it as a WR or not, he could have released it later. I think the next WR fish of any kind should go on display at a BPS's tank.
  5. He might have, she was a bedding bass. That's what can happen when site fishing. IMO. That's why he admitted it was fouled hook. I would have took my chances and kept it alive in the nearest bait shop fish tank. He could have released it later after the IGFA guys checked it out.
  6. Wow!!!!! Lake Dixon is only 70 acres?????? That bass took up the whole lake. That's amazing!!!! He still should have tanked it and kept it alive to see if he could claim the WR. If they said no, then he could have released it alive to try again. I don't want to see that fish killed. I would like to see the next WR in a BPS's tank for all to see.
  7. Flechero. I know you are not talking about me. I have posted to put a possible record in a tank if you want your name on that record. The fish needs to be seen alive by the IGFA guys. BTW. You don't see me posting catch and release big fish. 10lbs plus and he's a skin mount babyeee!!! BTW again. He says it weighed 25lbs on his de-liar. He new it was a possible record and he let it go. That in itself blew his chances of a taking the world record. The photo looks like all the other 20lb plus Cali photos. Huge!!!! You don't release a world record catch if you want your name on it. Put it in a tank to keep it alive!!!!
  8. The IGFA will not certify it as a world record. The dummy should have never released it. It sounds and looks too fishy to me.
  9. I loved his military boat wrap(That came out of his on pocket) and his patriotic attitude. A Georgia boy pulling for a Cali boy. You got a love that!!!!
  10. That's a big fish but, Georgia will maintain the record. Nobody in there right mind would release a possible world record. He blew his chances..... :'(
  11. BTW. The IGFA wants the fish personally right? Videos, pictures and measurements will not get you the record. They want too see the fish. If you think you have the record anything. Take it to a bait shop, put it in their tank and wait for the IGFA guys.
  12. If it was a real record he would not have released it. Sounds like another bogus bass, or he really screwed up his chances of taking the record. Georgia maintains the record yet again!!!! ;D
  13. Fishermen are not athletes. Bass Pro's are.....
  14. It's white Perch guaranteed.
  15. I remember in the mid 80's when skin mounts were $6.50 an inch.
  16. RW. I agree. It would be hard releasing a 22lb plus fish. They are about ready to die of old age when they get that big anyway. I have heard that most of the 20lb plus bass die after being released. It's a stress thang!!!
  17. Clausen fished the beds and did not site fish. He fished the pads methodically until he hooked up. Pads are a usually good indicator of a sandy hard bottom that the bedding bass like. He used a Mann's hard-nosed, six-inch junebug worm.
  18. Kill a 22lb 5oz and you will not get the record. A record has to be broke by 2 oz. 22lb 6oz is the goal.

I have the same problem in both elbows. Tennis elbow and golfers elbow. I had surgery on might right one. It didn't work. Plenty of motrin and two hand casting is the key.
  20. Thousands of applicants to look at. Your video has to be something unique that grabs their attention. I tell ya, Charlie knows how to work a spinnerbait though.
  21. The key to split rings is not tying the knot in the split of the ring. It will damge the knot. That's not an issue with those new oblong split rings.
  22. The Palomar knot is awesome. I have seen it line tested by Hank Parker using a knot testing machine. It never broke at the knot. It broke above the knot, exceeding the lb test used by 10lb plus. I'll have to try that Braided line knot on my big treble hook lures.
  23. Does anyone know where I can get some Cat Nip Crankbaits? ;D ;D ;D
