Solo, how much room do you have in the area where you will want to cut out the area to install your recessed trolling pedal mount? I wanted to do the installation on my old Tracker 185 but there was no room. I do have a recessed trolling pedal mount on my Ranger 185VS as that craft has the room for the installation. May I suggest asking your local Stratos dealer's repair people if there is room for the recessed mount. You can also call Stratos and after fighting the red tape get to talk to someone in the manufacturing department that can tell you if there is room and what size mount you will need. You can inquire if the mount will weaken the boat's structure, which I doubt since it it just a hole in the floor and you should not have to cut through any ribs or support material. Let us know what you find out and if you go through with the installation. And it is great having the trolling motor pedestal recessed. it is no longer in your way and you will not get as tired as you do now with the one you have sitting on your deck.

Kiss, I fished my double secret pond in central Virginia on Wednesday afternoon for about an hour and caught 9 small ones. The largest was about a pound. What was surprising was the bass' color. In lieu of it being bright green, all of the bass were turning grey/white, and losing their green color. This happens when the bass go deep in colder water and they lose their bright green coloring. I did not take the pond's water temperature nor did I know if the pond may have had its turnover. But it was strange to have the bass a lighter color this early in the winter. So what did I catch them on? Two on a shaky head; two on a spinnerbait and five on a drop shot. No hits on any other baits. Go figure.

No, been like that for Bamasux for years and with the other teams they play. LSU played Bamasux their toughest game and I am sure Satan had a lot to say to his assistant coaches on Sunday. But it is only one game and the beat goes on. At least the Bamasux fans are good sports when they lose. I can't say the same for Florida or Auburn or West Virginia fans.

It's hard to win when the refs are against you. On the TD run there was holding in the Bamasux backfield. However, being realistic, Bamasux had the better team. I think Bamasux could beat the 49ers or Jets. Now to pull for Satan and the Bamasux team to go all the way to show the world that the SEC still rules.

FryDog, see a doctor. The problem could be solved as easy as a cortisone shot in the tendon to relieve the pressure and pain. Or, you may have to have surgery during the winter months so you will be ready to rock and roll. Have you tried heat and rest? Living in Wisconsin means that the snow and ice is right around the corner so you will have the time to heal. Aleve is great for pain but bad for your kidney's. Be careful when taking Aleve and other pain meds unless you are under a doctor's guidance. Hope you feel better, soon.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I am concerned about my wife and her pain problem that I know what you went through, but not on the level you did. Glad you had her for 50-years.

We allow a guy to hunt with bow and arrow behind my house in the city of Richmond. So far he has nailed one; missed two; and had one run away and he could not find it. We think the herd is about 500 strong and walks in a big 10 to 15 mile circle around my area. The guy averages around 12 a season as there are limits on how many he can take at any one time. Virginia deer hunting season starts on November 5th and that is when the deer disappear, for some unknown reason.

Are you asking if size matters? Yes. Yes it does. I use Senkos from 3 to 6 inches and catch bass on all. As the water temperatures drop I go to a smaller Senko. I also will throw a 3-incher all year if bites are far and few between. Experiment. That's the fun of bass fishing. Try 'em all and when you find the size and color go for the gold!!!!

All I can add is for you to watch out for flying pucks and crazy defensemen as they skate around you. Growing up in south Louisiana makes it impossible for me to comprehend fishing on ice. Have fun and be sure to duck.

You know, KFA, your question is the one we all want to answer. And it is easier said than done. Unlike hunting for deer, turkey, ducks, geese or squirrel, us bass fisherman have to hunt in a totally foreign environment for a critter that can outsmart us at the drop of a hat. We have to move from place to place; be able to read water clarity; know the seasons and how the bass react to water temperature changes; watch the weather; and worry about falling out of a boat. All of the above is foreign to mankind but away we go in search of our prey. There is no complete answer to your query. I would love to tell you where to go; what to look for; what baits and techniques to use; where the big ones are holding; water depths; water clarity around the bend; time of day; full moon; rain; wind; and on and on. But no one can tell you these things. That is why time on the water is so critical to your success in addition to reading about your foe and learning all you can. So what CrustyMono penned is totally correct. It will give you some guidance. And so will the other posts that follow. But not the secret place or honey hole on the lake. You will have to find those places on your own. Now, how to make your life easier? Start a log of every day you hit the water. Pen every fish your catch, where, under what conditions, time of day, baits used, line test, type of line, spinning rig or baitcaster, and do the same for all the ones you miss. There is a log sheet under "Tools" at the top of this page. Make some copies and put them in a three-ring binder and study and review them all the time. What makes this sport so challenging is that those little green monsters can make us very humble people. The more you know the better your results. So read, read and read. Watch the Forum videos. Subscribe to the Forum on Facebook. And when you read about a specific bait, technique, etc. go to YouTube and look it up. Good luck and keep us posted on your successes and failures. P.S. I live in a haunted house. In fact, my wife and I have had to yell at the ghost to "stop it" when he gets playful and starts to move stuff or he lights up his pipe as we smell pipe tobacco in our downstairs den. There are three cemeteries on the plantation land our house sits. Two of them, one white and one slave, have been discovered. The third one has never been found although City of Richmond, Virginia records confirm the three cemeteries on the property dating back to the 1800's. Sometimes you will be watching TV and feel like someone is watching you. Other times we hear noises around the house. But we are used to the noises and things moving and the tobacco pipe smell so we just go along about our business. We sure would like to know where that third cemetery is located.

No, but there is nothing wrong with your hobby. You may want to add estate and yard sales to your list of locations to try to find older and more collectable equipment. Let us know when you find a great bargain or a very old item.

Add this to the fact that there was another tournament blasting off by Rock-A-Hoc by the dam made heading up and down river difficult. to hit the good places. You guys were heading up river to the favorite places and the Rock-A-Hoc guys are heading downriver to hit the good places. Go figure? Is this you after day 1??? 61 DERECK 2/ 2 2.82 lbs.

As a tidal river fisherman your video is excellent as it highlights how to fish tidal rivers. Only thing I would add is to flip and pitch all wood, piers, docks, boathouses, pads, grass lines and bridges. Good job, as usual.
