  1. G_P, I just clicked on this thread. The original bet was a Rapala. Send me a PM with your address and which lure and we'll get settled up. CJ
  2. I don't blame you for not giving away any secrets but, I was wondering if that was Autoaire paints?
  3. J Franco posted what I was thinking. A 1/4 oz. white hair jig on a float-n-fly might answer your questions or a dropshot with a 4' finesse worm. Fish them vertically over the images you found with very light movement if any.
  4. Those are top shelf right there!!!

    Very nice job!
  6. I really have been let down this season. The heavyweight division is lacking talent. Maybe I'm just praying for a savior? I can't see any of these guys lasting more than a minute with Brock Lesnar and I wish somebody would destroy him!
  7. Pretty cool! I really like that slow bite on plastics during the winter. It's fun trying to concentrate on your line and lure that hard. It'll keep you sharp. Nice post and pics! And that's still a nice fish anywhere.
  8. I noticed you said,"stacked up"? I'm guessing you seen them on your DF? Bass normally don't stack up as in several arches on top of each other. Usually it's more of a horizontal display of arches. Crappie stack up. Just a thought.

I know I'm chiming in late but here is my system. I have the Ardent smart cull for my tags. They are awesome! You just dial in their weight. The balls suspend and the numbers always face up. I use a XTools scales (thanks to my buddy Ryan), and I also keep balance beams on the boat as well.
  10. I have experienced what Tin said several times with largemouth and smallmouth. Mostly fishing ledges 6-20 ft. deep. I think it goes back to the way a fish thinks or "don't think". They just react.
  11. I went to Sears at 4:00am. I was wanting the Kenmore HE washer and dryer pair. It was reg. $1300 and they were selling them for $599. But, they only had 4 per store. I asked about it and got laughed at. They said people were lined up at midnight for them.
  12. One of my buddies got an XD and he loves it. I'm not sure what your state laws are but, when I get ready to buy a firearm, I always put the word out to my buddies. With some patients, I usually will find a great deal on something. Some people are really hurting for money these days and will part with their guns for dirt cheap.
  13. When ya'll say etex, are ya'll talking about etech lite? If so, it will yellow after time. I've been away from painting lures for sometime but I'm getting back into it this winter. I'm gonna have to check out the flex coat. I used Devcon but oticed my Wal-Mart no longer carries it. Lock Tite is what they had ad it don't look clear.
  14. LOL! Mr. Whiskers looks like he is doing pretty good for himself. Sounds like the boss has put her foot down! Good job Dad! Nice fish!
  15. I think there are spot's or area's you can only have theories that may even have scientific fact to them but, how can you prove any theory you may come up with? The "why" and the "when" are what we all should want to know. I thought for a few years that this one hump would only have fish on it when they were generating water. Every time I caught them there, the TVA was pulling good water. Then one day when I thought they were pulling water, I caught em' on it. When I get home and look at the water release schedule, they weren't pulling any water. Just one of those spot's, if they are there, they are there. The only thing that I can find for fact is that they're always seems to be something to eat nearby. I also know spots that only a couple things seem to work for the said structure. I hear people talk about good "spinnerbait spots" or an awesome "topwater spot". That's unique that a whole cove get's branded as a trap hole.
  16. White wine in a box is okay but, I really like that white wine in a jar! It's the best bang for the buck!
  17. Looks like the playoffs are starting to get lined up! Right now I would like us to have a moment of silence for the Chicago Cubs...........................that's about "moment " enough!
  18. Wouldn't rebar be a little rough on your line? I guess it would depend on how you placed it. Christmas trees don't hold good bass as well as do more solid covers like stumps and rock piles. Rock piles have been some of the best man made cover I have fished. Look for the darkest colored ones you can find, about the size of your head(as long as you don't live in Texas! LOL) Throw out a marker and drop all of them in the same spot a few feet away from the marker so it will make a pile.
  19. Like Senko77 says, don't waste your time. Those fish are resting. When they move in or on top of the ledge, that's when they will feed. If you show up at the right time, you could load the boat. If I was fishing a tournament, I would check it again to see if they will move in and feed. The bright moon right now seems to be cutting down on the feeding during the daylight hours. This is the time of year things will change from day to day. Look for something else to serve as a back up. Good Luck
  20. Uncle Leo hit the nail on the head. Sometimes a flat ledge becomes a supper table if baitfish are present.
  21. HGH isn't steroids. They're different and when a Dr. prescribes them, they're not illegal. When MLB bans them, players can't use them. They should keep their mouths shut about any of them prior to the ban. Anybody after, should be ban from the game. It really sucks that it has come down to this. I could try to say that no wonder the Bosox kicked the Cards butt in 2004 WS but I won't make that excuse. Some of the Cards were probably doing them too. Guess the Sox were peeking? LOL There was an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch where they interviewed Pujols, I'm gonna say he is pure. If he ain't, he will be the worst one of them all. He claims he has never used. I hope that is the truth.
  22. I stand always. No seat on the front deck. I would be opposite of the posters above if I did sit, I would be throwing something that had treble hooks on it. I pretty much use my whole body to set the hook using plastics. It usually starts with a step back.
  23. Okay.....2ND PLACE CUBS AND THEY"RE DEAD!!! Ouch, Z goes down with an injury. Well see cya in 2010 Cubbies.
  24. cart7, Shiloh is very interesting place. Take you a tube of crickets (can't take a pole though) and throw some in Bloody pond. That will make you get on over to Pickwick!
