Road trip thoughts on KY lake
There really isn't anything you can't say about Ky. Lake. Really to me, it is a text book lake. It has all the features as far as structure and cover. It also has all the elements that keeps anglers on their toes. Yes, the vegetation emerges in the warm months but, it is known for it's ledge fishing after the spawn. The beautiful thing about it is that there is adequate cover near or on the best structures, in a lot of spots. The grass does grow right out in the middle of the lake on the shallower flats.

Hey...what can I say!!!!
Wow!..What a day! You know, there are those days that catchin' the big one gets laid to the side and you enjoy watching someone new to the sport have a day they won't forget! I went down south of the Ky. line this morning with my gal and new BR member Nikki to visit with a fellow member, Paul. We had a great time. The fish that were trying to bed didn't want to cooperate so Paul and I sit back and watch someone new to bassfishing fall in love with what it's all about. Here's some great pic's: And to top it off she caught Mr. Whiskers too! Should have seen me running to aid her for this one. Nikki got her new PB today at 3lbs. 9oz.! I bet it don't stand long! Thanks Paul, for a day that won't ever be forgotten. The most important thing to fishing is watching someone else glow with the memory! CJ

Big Bass Tourney Strategy?
Also, I would recommend you leave out the "tourney" part of your topic and try reposting this under general bass fishing forum. You should get better input that way. CJ

Big Bass Tourney Strategy?
Location and timing would be most important to me. LUCK would be the best thing that works for me though! LOL Really all the elements dictate where, when and what to throw. What season it is would be the first thing I would take into consideration.

I hate dinks...ready to just give up
It ain't the hat! The fish was scared to death when it seen Burley coming. They herded it into a pocket, it tried to jump the boat but the Gambler was too big! NOTE: I met Burley in person. He's no bigfoot.....skunk ape maybe, but not bigfoot!

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I know I posted a short thank you to everybody. Now here's my story from the roadtrip 2009! I met RW on Saturday afternoon for about a 5 hour outing to start things off. We had a great time as always and caught some fish but no bigguns'. Saturday night was the team pampers wine and cheese party. Although I was accused of drinking Gary dry...I see no evidence, therefor those statements are irrelevant. : It was a great time as every evening during the BS sessions in the lodge lobby we took over. Sunday I fished with Gary and his wife Mary. We caught several fish and had a great time. Monday everybody, well almost everybody, stayed in and watched the yucky weather. This was a great day though. Instead of going out with one or two members we got to sit around all day joking around and cutting up. It was a blast! Tuesday I fish with the one, the only,....Long Mike! We had a decent day with plenty of fish caught. Mike, thanks for stepping up. Sorry we couldn't find big momma. Wednesday I fished with Senko77 and LBH. Talk about 3 mooks in a boat. My gut was officially busted after this day. I went to bed laughing! BTW, everybody, Ryan is an 8. spinnerbaits are great. Next time I will put my rod down when we fish pea gravel Ryan. We caught over 100 fish between the three of us, we all caught a limit of keepers and got a nice supprise, all while laughing our butts off. Can't explain, you would had to of been there. Thursday I fished with Procrafter. Another great angler. We had a blast! Caught several fish. Friday was going home day for everybody. The weather was ugly again but LBH and headed again. We were only out for a few hours and we caught a few nice ones. Had a few more laughs too! A special thanks to all the cooks, Glenn and Keri, Long Mike, Big O (I really enjoyed hearing some great fishing stories from this guy. Learned a lot too), JJ from JJ's Magic, Bob Lusk (world of knowledge!), and to all the sponsors, and especially all the members who attended. I hope ya'll had a great time. Sorry if I didn't get to talk to everybody enough. Stay tuned for the video, it's gonna be a good one! See ya'll in 2010!!! CJ

What were your most scary points in life...
Well it would be a toss up between riding out a tornado in a single wide trailer, which really sucked, got hung up to a bull for about 30 seconds one time, which really hurt, or trying to cross Ky. Lake with 6 ft. rollers. All three times I was pretty sure I was gonna die.

- Fish brush piles planted by locals?
They do have laws for that. It's called theft by deception and/or organized crime and depending on how much they steal from a tournament, it could be a felony. Just ask the two guys that are still sitting in jail here in Ky.- Fish brush piles planted by locals?
Mattfly, those are my thoughts ecxactly.- 4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
You preach it brother! Really, Brent and MattM are great members here. Brent goes above and beyond to serve his customers here on BR. We'll miss you guys. :'(- Huge Worms
I'll be giving the Anaconda a go this summer. Man that thing has awesome action! BPS 12" Squirmin' worm in plum or red shad are good. Mister Twister 11" Phenom, too many to list.- Guess how many?
That sounded liked a great day! Cute little man you got there too. - Fish brush piles planted by locals?
