  1. I'm having to play a lot of things by ear right now but, I will be attending the Wednesday night dinner. I wouldn't miss the drawing for the world!!! LOL. I'll also be there to fish at least a couple of days.
  2. I think the cause of it is the fish's mood at that given time. Say if the conditions have them somewhat inactive or in a neutral or negative state their instincts may cause them to react but not follow up.
  3. I killed a lot of deer with a cheap CVA from Wal-Mart back in the day. It's not the wand, it's the magician. I haven't had a muzzle loader in a long time. What does it have some kind of electronic ignition?
  4. :...think they might twist that slogan a little?
  5. A secondary point may also be on the main lake. It doesn't have to be in a cove or bay. The best illustration is to imagine a lake as a tree. The trunk being the main river channel with the main lake points being those that originate from the trunk. The secondary points are simply the smaller branches.
  6. 2009 was kind of a layoff year for tournaments. I did fish 5 tournaments though winning one with 23 lbs. 9 oz. The decade was great! I started fishing tournaments in 2005 and had 3 top ten BFL finishes that year. I won a boat in 2007.
  7. I would think it could be a good thing. Especially if it were scheduled during the winter months.
  8. The fans had every right to be mad. I would have at least left Manning in to try and secure the win. I really dont think that was a good learning experience for the young QB.
  9. It sounds like a good idea. However, the tournament trail will have limited it's entries. Anglers that have boats with above 150 h.p can't fish with them and they should probably stick with smaller bodies of water that are less affected by high winds.
  10. Well when you get done, and it ices over up there, cash in some sick days and come visit! Merry Chrisssstmas to you too bud! CJ
  11. Man that is sad news. The same thing happened to a local pro here on Ky. a couple years ago. He hit a stump and the motor flip into the cockpit breaking his back. I wonder if their isn't anything manufacturers can do to prevent this from happening? Some way to redirect the motor away? It may happen with any boat/motor make but, David Young's boat was a Ranger w/ an E-tec.
  12. I can relate to a lot of what has been posted. One thing I did do as a kid that was flirting with death, keep in mind I grew up a redneck: There used to be a pen full of mules on the farm next door or well a mile down the road. There was a feeding trough there that was about 4-5 ft. tall. Me and a buddy used to pick a couple ears of corn and climb up in the feeder. We would get them coaxed in close enough and jump on! Man could some of them buck!
  13. Well I got to talk to Rick Clunn one time and I was lost after a few seconds but, still a nice guy. I would like to have a good chat with KVD.

I have a M&P. Haven't had the first problem. Only thing I would change is I would have gotten one without the front sight. If I want a red dot, I have to put a carrying handle on it. I am looking for a 20" bull upper. But it's a lot of fun. Especially when I need to relieve some stress.

What attracted me to it was that it is very flat for that deep of a diver. It will probably be late May before I get to see how well it works. I didn't know if these lures were out earlier this year.
  18. I haven't paid much attention to the tackle world lately but I ran across the Spro Little John DD. I don't know when they came out but I picked one up. Looks like a good crankbait. Just wondering if any of you deep crankers have tried them and what you thought?
  19. They are a lot of fun to watch. I'm just glad the Wildcats are back! I'm pretty sure Wall will be gone to the NBA next year but maybe some of the others will stay? They are a young team that if they develop, could press for the championship. They have been up and down and very sloppy at times.

    Sorry but that's pretty funny!
  21. The Cards are close to signing Brad Penny for 1 year-6 million base with incentives up to 9 mil. I'm not to excited about this one.
  22. I agree Catt. To add to that, most pros are a vault full of great knowledge but they are also smart enough to know they are also still students of the sport. The tide changes with bass fishing often. There is and always will be more to learn.

    Diddo.
  24. Everybody likes to see pics of other members work.
  25. A very good read no matter who you agree with. Chris, you know your crankbaits that's for sure.
