  1. I would have like to seen this seminar. I wouldn't define weed lines as "open" water. A senko is about as good as a lure I have found for grass edges, as far as plastics. When it comes to jigs, look for a grass jig. The head is designed to come though better.

Gotta agree! The young man is already a "threat to the field"! One of the many I am excited about meeting at Guntersville. Keep it up, Ryan! CJ

  5. If the little man's gester is aimed at the Yankees....he is a true Bosox fan. Personally,if he were my kid, he would have gotten his little tail fired up!
  6. Atleast you broke the ice! What's a fall fish?
  7. 30th out of 90! That's a great start! We had this topic going on another thread just a few days ago. You should check it out. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1204054983/0
  8. I'll tell you one thing I did that helped out alot. I took and copied alot of the articles from this site and made myself a "bassin' bible". The articles on this site feature great advice for new and veteran anglers. Check em' out!
  9. I suppose your being sarcastic, beens your putting Steinbrenner and Gussy Busch in the same sentence. Remember, Dewit bought the Cards in the mid 90's. Do you remember the roster for the Cards in 1982? 1985? 1987? Whitey was the reason for the Cardinals success during that period. Not Busch's money.
  10. I got an extra one Speedbead. I'll make sure I bring it. CJ
  11. Yeah....that's what we were hoping for. :-[ We just couldn't get on them. We still caught a few fish though. Kent, as you know, there will always be a seat open.
  12. I agree Muddy, I think they should level the field by putting a ceiling on a team's payroll. Riskid, good observation. BTW, the Cards are looking for a utility type bench player that Tony can go out and drink with. Seems he lost his old drinkin' buddy. Something about some warrants? :
  13. I've lost countless lures until I got a lure knocker. Matter of fact, me and a certain someone saved alot of money with one today!
  14. WOW Randall! Great job! Nice Fish guys!
  15. WOW! 4Bizz, YOU DA MAN! Keep em' coming buddy!
  16. Well......how bout them Deadbirds......I mean Redbirds? I can't believe Tony wanted Bonds! I would can him for even thinking like that.
  17. It varies from lake to lake and season to season. I'd guess during April should be the peak of it.
  18. WHY

That's was my story today out on the water. Then I ask "WHY"! And that's why I enter Bass Resource! Sorry Gene, but this thread looked like it needed hijacking. ;D
  19. Well since I started using garlic scent, I no longer like garlic on my food. Only occasionally will I eat garlic bread with pastas. The worst smell is a skunk! : Oh, this is supposed to be a smell I like. Okay, I like the smell of a new boat.
  20. Current River is a spring fed river, if your talking about the same one that runs through southern Missouri. It stays about the same temp year around, somewhere around 62 degrees I think. Anyway it has a good population of rainbow trout. Most of the bass would smallmouth. Anyway, I've never fished it but I have stopped and talked to some fisherman there while floating down it. Most of them were trout fishing. Congrats on the catfish. CJ

    You're a hell of a guy, Frogtog!

Man I wish I could help out. I've got a tournament Sept. 20. Plus I'm over 8 hours away. I would guess you're needing an answer soon? Is there a deadline on the entry? How close does someone need to be?
  23. Well to find pictures of them you would have to date back before that resevoir was flooded. Except there is this new side imaging sonar thing. :....LOL Roadbeds and creek channels are part of the lakes' bottom contour. Roadbeds were often built up near old river channels or within the flooded area, causing a drop off. They feature a hard bottom which is prefered by bass. Creek channels often serve as travel routes for bass in man made impoudments. It's simply a creek that exsisted before the flood.
