  1. The biggest 5 fish stringer I know of on Ky.Lake was over 38 lbs. by Mike Terry back in the 90s. The jerkbait bite is really coming on strong on some days. I predict here in the next 2 weeks the prespawn will be on! I plan on hitting the water March 2. I'll be glad to report. CJ
  2. Yeah..I think I get them a little late. They have mentioned that KVD could be sandbaging(leading the reporters to believe he only has an 8 pound limit). I would think they would mention that Charlie Hartley is having a bad day, if that were the case.
  3. You sure he wasn't checking for tract marks on Tejada's hip? ;D
  4. Bryan Kerchal's story is very inspiring and a must read.
  5. They have had a BLOG all morning. Kriet, Pace, and Jones are estimated leaders right now. Hartley has only one keeper. Looks pretty slow for now. Here's the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/tournaments/classic/news/story?page=b-tourn-bass-blog-day-three
  6. Wouldn't it become salt water? :
  7. Well ESPN did a better job today on the fishing coverage, IMO. Did anybody notice when Steve Kennedy idled by Charlie Hartley? I do believe I saw a "fivebasslimit" in Kennedy's boat, but he didn't weight one in. :
  8. There's a HP limit. I believe it's 250.
  9. There is no tellin' how this one will pan out. All I saw on the website was the live weigh in. Tonight we get just a little taste of the fishing. Charley Hartley seems like a great guy and a great angler. Would make for a great story. Charlie is on a shallow bite from what I've seen and heard. Alton Jones has won over a million in his career. He hasn't ever won the classic. He seems to be a great guy. Alton is on a deep bite I think. I know who I'd bet on. Afterall, I'm a "Jones Boy". It's still a long way from over. I just hope they all whack em' tomorrow! CJ

This one is a long way from over.
  11. Glad to see your coming! You need to check with ghoti. Last I heard he had a spot left.
  12. Looks like it may have slowed down a little today. Yet, a few of the pros have made a move. Can't wait to see. On another note, I wonder if the jerkbait might come into play with this warm up?
  13. Good Gaawwwly Raul! I thought I was bad. The Bait Monkey totally owns your @$$! ;D Nice selection though!
  14. Well the BLOG on ESPN hasn't updated lately but at 9:40 am Alton Jones has come on strong. Charlie is behind him an estimated 3 lbs. Ofcourse these are only "guesstimations". I don't really care who wins it. They are all worthy.
  15. That's a couple of good guys your knockin'. I really don't know where you draw your opinion. Look how well ESPN is covering the classic. ;D I watch both. I really don't have a favorite. I just like hearing the stories and watching the techniques and strategies. Both organizations have their own ways. FLW has the money and BASS has the prestige. CJ
  16. BTW, if any of you guys haven't gone to the "Tournament Talk" forums, you need to check out Glenn's thread "Classic Day One". Oh yeah.. Watch the videos! BTW, Charlie Hartley doesn't sound to confident(might be a good bluff). I bet none of them got a good night's rest with KVD in the position he's in.
  17. Just looked on DVR. Just two different depth finders and/or chartplotters is what they look like to me.
  18. I did! SWEET!!!
  19. My Dad's tackle box only dates back to early 80s. It featured several worm hooks, bullet weights,a few crankbaits,spinnerbaits,...I guess a little of all the "foundation" lures, for me anyway. But what I found myself dippin' into the most were his hooks, bullet weights, and his Culprit worms. Nice thread. Brought back memories!
  20. Man, this is gonna be a good one!
  21. Bud also informed me he isn't going to be able to make it. I'm chompin' at the bit too, Speedbead!
  22. My eyes were opened to effective and efficient prefishing. Yeah, I would have loved to experience that. Sounds like you two are getting a great treat! CJ
  23. Look foward to hearing back from ya'll! Good Luck! I hope ya'll whack em'! CJ
