HM85 blank
Yeah, that's the rod I'm looking at. I've had one with the HM60 title and it was okay.

P-Line Tactical
Anyone use it yet? It got the best line of the year award at Icast and we just put it out on the shelves at work. It's about the same price as Invizx, which I use and like.

Which is the better finesse rod?
I second this. I really like mine.

HM85 blank
Any rod guys know what popular blank the HM85 blank is close to in quality and sensitivity?

Fury 703sf
Asking for a friend, and since I've never used a Dobyn's spinning rod I've come to you guys. He wants a shakeyhead/wacky set up, paired with a Lew's TPro Spinning reel in 2000 size. My first recommendation was the 702sf, but I know Dobyn's tend to run heavy and I like a lighter rod. Anyone have experience with the 703sf specifically? EDIT: just to avoid potential confusion, I am asking for info on the 703sf, not the 702sf (which I recommend).

EliteTech
I've got an older EliteTech Smallie rod, 6'10" Medium XF. Any big differences between this and the new EliteTech? I'd like to change up to a ML, but that would require buying a new rod.

$50 Pro Qualifier
The best two reels out there for $100 are the Speed Spool and the BPS PQ in my opinion, so it's a steal at $50.

Deep cranking reel suggestions
If you can find a deal, that's probably best. But I've got a Lew's BB1 in 5:1, it's pretty sweet for cranking.

Live Target
Lol thanks guys. I'm trying to support my habits, not return them! It's a bit too early for swimbaits around here, so I'll have to wait awhile before I can try it.

Live Target
Anyone use one of the new LiveTarget Shad swimbaits? We got some in the most recent shipment at work and I added a few to my stash. Definitely going to add a belly hook to it though.

Spro premium John
yeah the sqbl Russ Lane bait is coming out too.

Flip/Pitch Lew's Reel
Not the Team Lite or the Team Custom Pro. This is the Lite G and the Custom SLP, which are equally priced at $180.

Flip/Pitch Lew's Reel
Guy's I'm so torn. I've got a Lew's order coming up, and I don't know what to get for my jig rod. I've narrowed it down to the Lite G and Custom SLP. SLP: Dual Brakes 9+1 bearings Aluminum frame 6.6 oz Winn Grip handles 33 IPT Lite G: Centrifugal Brakes 10+1 bearings Carbon frame 5.7 oz 30 IPT Leaning towards the SLP for the grips, the Aluminum and the 8:1.

need to purchase a spinning reel $150-200
Check a DSG or F&S, they launched a clearance sale, my store has a Stradic for $100. Other than that, I've got a Team Lew's that is pretty dope.

The latest sale thread
Presidents Day Sale at DSG and F&S. It's "un-presidented" as I said in the morning meeting and received a applause of groans. We've got like 50-75% off apparel and footwear clearance, but only 30% off fishing clearance. Although it stacks with an employee discount. We've got a Stradic 1000 for like $100 and some Quantum Tour MGs for $115. Unfortunately, I don't need a 1000 size or to spend $100.

Well you sir are correct. I had more wind knots than fish. Unfortunately I couldn't get one of them out

I was choosing a new line at F&S and a guy I see there regularly and I got to talking. He said it sinks, "that's why it's got that gore fiber" is what he said.

Swimbait Rod
Can't wait to hear what you think about it! Make sure to let us know! I was talking to John (maybe? I forgot already) from Dobyn's today and he said they are selling pretty d*mn well.

Your next rod
Either actually buying my own Dobyns 805/6, so my buddy can have his back, or trading in my DX745 for something smaller.

dobyns rods
I use a DX745c, but I've used a D765flip. I would highly recommend the 765flip.
