I have no concernes of the cover hurting this boat. lol, I'd be a lot more woried about the cover tearing during transport

I also got a Patriarch (the 1000 size) I've only used it for about 15 minutes and so far it's great but I'm not going to jump up and down saying it's the best reel ever before I actually catch a fish with it . One thing I do like about it has a nice long handle for a small reel.

That's exactly what I'm looking for! Something off the wall and irresponsible ! Lets keep the ideas rolling... I'm thinking mortar tubes or rocket launchers but the cardboard would be a disadvantage to say the least.

And then tape old worm bags together to make the cover for it?

If they were waterproof I'd make a Gilligan's Island style raft and fish off of it.

I was cleaning out the basement yesterday and I think I have enough rod tubes to build a house. So has anyone figured out anything cool to do with your old cardboard rod tubes? Yep it's cold and I'm board.

So I just replaced the seats and carpet in my boat and am looking for a boat cover for it . I'd like to have one that's towable in some small hope that it will keep gravel dust out. One of my favorite lakes is on 5+ miles of gravel By the way the boat is a 17' Lowe (tin)

6'10'' ml Rage rod and Sienna 1000. This should easily get you in under $200 I don't like all of the Rage rods but this is a nice one.

I just wanted to say I was wrong. I got a 7'ml extreme and it's awesome. the difference was noticeable enough I ended up returning my 7'ml Tournament. Now I want to switch all my rods out.

Put on a Rage Craw or Lobster and call it a day!
