  2. They don't even ask you to ship the broken rod back either like most companies do. Remember, yesterday's price, is not today's price..so the $9.95 is not bad compared to other places, even if it was free before.
  3. Fishing never ceases to surprise me. Something deemed "tranquil" can end up in a shambles. I remember this guy was always nice to me, until I had to walk behind his house to try to retrieve a lure that I got snagged. I must have walked at the edge of the lake and attempted to retrieve my lure for less than 20 seconds. Technically it was not his property, but I am always respectful and thought because I talked to him many times he would understand. He calls the police and says there is a "suspicious fisherman" in my backyard. I was walking around with a yellow and black Skeet Reese bag and an orange Carrot Stix rod at that time. It doesn't get more incognito than that. It was always war after that incident unfortunately, we ended up like Seindfeld and Newman.
  4. $150 range iRod Genesis III Powell Endurance Daiwa Tatula (depends on length) Tackle Trap has a Hammer Rod for under 150 with a coupon code Hammer Tackle Trap Limited 7'3" Heavy 1/4-1oz
  5. To be fair, I only ordered once so far so hopefully my next order comes with a love note
  6. They sent me a handwritten post card of appreciation with my 1st order. Great pricing and service.
  7. I see more in 6'6" Med than MH at this length, you can use the filter setting on TWH. If I want a better variety of shorter rods at this point, gotta go with JDM/overseas models in most instances. Been eyeing the 166MH Poison Adrena.
  8. I have the 7'6" casting rod and I can't really complain. Aesthetics are nice, sensitivity is good and the travel case is solid. It fishes like a one piece to me.
  9. I can't take anymore rod related financial blows, Im 50 bucks away from seeing Elizabeth!
  10. Based on what I have... yes, but I want to get rid of almost all of it and start all over, with a more minimalistic approach ?
  11. Seaguar Abrazx (stiffer/ more abrasion resistant) Invizx (more limp) Tatsu (best/most expensive) Sunline Sniper (More limp) Shooter (stiffer/ more abrasion resistant)
  12. Caught....Or Lost I lost a 5+ when it jumped today, it was around 3pm. The hook didn't penetrate the plastic all the way, smh. Expletives flew out of my mouth and I had to look around after out of embarrassment
  13. Ahh, it actually appeared in my feed around the time you posted the initial thread
  14. Did you do a review on youtube? I saw one recently, was wondering if that is you. I am interested in getting one of these rods. I like trying new items, especially when discounted since I have a credit with Abu.
  15. I believe Butch Brown said something similar about his swimbait catches
  16. I use 20lb Abrazx and Invizx Fluoro I also use 20-25lb P-Line CXX Copoly Copoly is a good all around/inexpensive
  17. Veritas TE rods from Tackle Warehouse - Offering avid anglers a rod series with increased strength and improved weight and sensitivity, the Abu Garcia Veritas PLX Tournament Casting Rods deliver impressive, tournament-caliber performance. Featuring 36-ton graphite blanks as their foundation, anglers can expect the extreme sensitivity needed to detect subtle bites and changes in their lake’s contour. Additionally, they utilize titanium alloy guides with ultra-light Zirconium inserts for expert line management and quiet casting performance. 18. The one near me increased the fishing area significantly, it's a pretty big space. They have pretty good selection of items and rods for 95% of anglers. They have 3 full aisles of Googan stuff plus extra end caps.
  19. Nice review, I'm sold, don't even need one.
  20. Personally, I'd take the Veritas. The price is better, the warranty is 3 years. Abu is great with service. I had an issue once, they sent me a new rod and I got to keep the old one. Years later I asked them a question about a guide on one of my Gen 1 Veritas rods, it was like 90 years out of warranty and they offered me 45% off of any rod.
  21. For me, 12-20lb Shooter, Sniper, Abrazx, Invizx
