  1. Do you like this better or the Super Destroyer? .....I want to get one for no reason at all ? Waiting for the comparison vid
  2. Reviews be like: Comments: Best Line Ever, invisible in the water and super strong! From: Anthony: California 2/27/20 Comments: Absolutely the worst line I have ever used. The knot strength is horrible, no matter what type of knot you tie. I casted this 5 times and lost 2 crankbaits to thw line breaking at the knot. Spend the money and buy some fc sniper. From: Kaleb: Bunn NCAA 2/11/19
  3. Sounds delectable, money well spent. ? I do not need another rod, but I am interested in the Super Destroyer. I will be waiting for the update and hope it is as good as the report on the Taychon ?

  5. I want to pick up the swimbait blank, the 5/8-10oz lure rating looks optimistic ?
  6. 1 about 30 yrs ago as a kid. I ate a lot of panfish tho. I rarely eat fish anymore...Why would I when the McRib is coming back?
  7. I ordered a MB 736-1(X-Ray LMX) and DVT put it together for me with a carbon full handle and some spiral wrapped torzites. The build weighed 4.45oz and was balanced for the Revo Black 10 in my avatar which is pretty heavy. He can probably tell you more about the build than I can ? I also have a Kistler Zbone in the same length, but that is more moderate and rated to 1oz. I use the Kistler for a more general purpose fishing rod and the custom is my worm and jig.
  8. You can get the revos for a good price on Amazon Japan. They get here in like 2-3 days from my experience. My friend has the Big Shooter and the compact, both for swimbait setups. My 2 JDM market Revos are more for looks than anything else, didn't purchase them for any specific purpose, just liked how they looked. ? I started using dual purpose lures for snakes, things I can swim for bass or swim up top for snakes like paddle-tails with weighted hooks. I caught a few recently on ali express versions of dark sleepers and chatterbaits. Long gone are my days of walking the banks for hours in the heat for them since no boat.
  9. My main snakehead reel was a Gen 2 revo that came in a 6. something gear ratio mounted on a veritas. I have upgraded my fishing gear many times over, but I have never caught as many as I caught on that setup. I quit doing the tournaments and I have fished for them far less. Looking through Corey's profile he seems to fish 13 Concept A's and Lexas. https://www.instagram.com/p/CCI0mdGnRld/
  10. Revo Big Shooter Compact
  11. I don't have that exact reel, but I do have some reels that are close in weight, a little lighter (Curado i) and slightly heavier (TD Zillion). I usually fish mine on a 2013 Metanium or an Aldebaran. The balance does not really bother me as you can see with my reel choices.
  12. YES, 2020 says, "you owe it to yourself" ? Also, let us live vicariously through your pockets
  13. Have you watched the video from The Hookup Tackle on these models?
  14. I wonder if the Tachyon Shaft would be better or not in some cases? I guess line choice would dictate some of this due to the action of the rods.
  15. Happened to me within the last 2 weeks
  16. My buddy has one (2nd gen MB Leviathan), he fishes it often and loves it. He throws DRT tks, k9s, Deps, Balams, etc; on it. I have seen him flip some big fish over weed lines from the bank. No issues so far. I bought a XH Omega Rods, Leviathan (NFC Blank) which has a nice parabolic bend to it. I like it a lot. It handles fish and feels much better than my 1st gen Levante Leviathan and Okuma SBX Xh. https://www.leviathanrods.com/shop/omega-swimbait-rods/ There are quite a few nice rods on the market, but I don't see why you wouldn't like the MB based on my friend's experience. I want to build a custom next and I may pick up a 7'10" kistler KLX on sale.
  17. Sounds like you need a: DESTROYER P5 (JDM) F7.5-90X I.C.B.M The bank-fishing special, F7.5-90X ICBM, is a super long-distance weapon developed for the trophy-hunting anglers lining the shores of Lake Biwa. The 9’ shaft harnesses the potential of 5-D GRAPHITE, displaying furious energy to unleash moon-shot casts and uncanny sensitivity to develop sonar-like maps with each bottom-contacting retrieve. The ICBM stands above other rods in its class, delivering an intuitive feel that belies its daunting length. - LENGTH 9'0" POWER Extra-Heavy LINE RATING 12-30lb LURE RATING 3/8-3oz TAPER Med Fast
  18. I have nothing but Pfluegers because they were all on clearance at my local DSG. When you are picking up their $200 Patriarch model for $70 bucks and others (Supreme Xt and Arbor) for a fraction of the price, it's hard not to buy them. I don't even fish them since I favor casting gear, but they were too good to pass up. They are usually loaners for my friend's that want to fish since many of them don't have gear. They have been smooth and reliable so far, from my little use and theirs.
  19. The Hookup Tackle's YouTube has a video where he goes through the popular P5 models.
  20. I see Abu is now using it in the new Veritas PLX models for 2020. I bought a Lamiglas Infinity Bass that was supposed to use it, but my model was made on the line after 3M sold the rights.
  21. I run leader in many instances to save soft plastics from slicing or tearing after 1 fish if it slides up the line, which is the worst.
  22. I fish these from time to time and do well. I followed Tommy Biffle's instructions. I have biffle heads, swinging rugbys, bass patrols and some small tackle company from ebay variety. Some heads are totally oval and traditional and some have flat spots on the bottom. W 2 F has a bunch of vids on these on their youtube with creature baits and swimbaits.
  23. I can find plenty of rod companies and own a few (Lamiglas, Kistler, NFC/Edge, Leviathan, custom, etc). Which reels are made here specifically, of great quality?
