  1. Maybe it is just me, but I would have tossed that one up to a mistake 3 pages ago.
  2. I wish I could help, but this has never happened on my President reel.
  3. December. Our tourneys start back up in Febuary.
  4. I like the 7.5 culprit, crawdad and junebug
  5. Jimmy has been around longer than most of us here. We can pray that we will experience the catches he has. If not, we can always put him down and call him a has been. Everyone feeling better now?
  6. Gosh you would think the whole topic was written by fish themselves. Yes they feel something. So we jab a hook in our lips and pull the line taught and yell, ouch! They feel pain, I know they do, cuz I just felt it. And when I touch it it wiggles. The topic itself is completly relative. I'm gonna start a topic "Do bass feel rejected when we throw them back?"
  7. Human. The only species that can reason. Deduce, sorrow, worry and relate pain. Is that truly what makes us human? Or is it the fact that we can make the call for other species? Can you feel my pain?
  8. Pain is relative, bet your pain is different than mine. If pain in fishing is truly the question, mayhap you stop eating chicken. If you do, we feel your pain. You will probably starve! cluck cluck. moo moo. Peta should get a knock outta this. Nice posts from some of the members. Just makes me wonder, is peta here among us?
  9. 2 days a week my friend and my lady is there with me. And you gotta like that!
  10. I think most everyone loves to have a great chance to catch a lot of bass. I like fishing the bigger lakes, it is more of a challange to find the fish to me. My 23 year old daughter loves it too, maybe that's why she has said for the past 15 years, "let's go hunting daddy!" I always thought it was funny that she considered Bass Fishing a hunt. Indeed.
  11. I rather be the fooled, than the fool.
  12. 1st off, I am catch and release 100% But if someone else wants to keep a fish, no matter how big it may be, it is really none of my affair. It is the State's. And as long as they have paid for their license like I did and it is legal, it's not anyone's. Make it your affair, it becomes everyone's affair. And that includes those whom do not think we should be hooking them in the first place. Now that's a can a worms to open up, is it not?
  13. Yes, how far a bass will commit to chase a lure, varies
  14. Yea, we thought you fell over board or something!
  15. It will take you time to learn when to set the hook. Pink has it down packed for his own reflexes. This is something you will have to learn from all the info you are fed. And yes, you will gut hook fish in the process. It will subside.
  16. Around 10 years old or so, a lake that belonged to my great aunt in Georgia. Caught it on a rubber worm, the kind that already came rigged.
  17. Jigs, I have never caught a fish on a jig. And lucky me, my challenger is sending me off to fish with a jig!
  18. I would imagine that he may not be allowed to state where he is.

Drag for a count of 3, then pause for the same. Repeat
  20. Indeed Russ010, very interesting concept. I really like that thought.
  21. Yes, if you do both the bass will tell you what they want for the day. And that is an encouraging thought......
  22. A jig, yes I know, but that is the truth
  23. We cant just compare our eating habits with BASS, else they just bite 3 times a day. And we do not attack our food out of anger or frustration. We just have to be hungry really to eat. The moon may perhaps affect the mood of the individual running with the pack. Schooling and the like, pressure in the water. ACTIVITY. Yes, other factors are at play. No one I hope is saying that you WILL NOT get bit on a certain day. No one would say that you cannot catch a big fish unless certain enviromental requirements are met. But there are factors in mother nature that make the deer roam, rut and feed. If you do not buy it then stop asking yourself and ask the one that knows. Your better half.
  24. Changing the channel or flipping the page is a great idea.
  25. Try MSN virtual maps, get as close to your location as you can, then switch to sattelite mode. I do it all the time to rivers.
