  1. Coors Light; that is all.
  2. We went to Waubay this year ice fishng for the first time and caught a couple of 15" 'Stompers' but those pig perch look way bigger. Nice job and I'd love to live close to a place where we could catch them in open water.
  3. It took losing 3 ice fishing combos for me to figure out to leave the bail open when using a slip bobber and minnow. I'll admit it is pretty hilarious to watch a whole rod, reel and rod holder go down a 6" hole so quickly; you wouldn't think it was possible to make it down the hole, let alone so quickly.
  4. Check out the NEFGA fishing forum. Lots of good info about local lakes and there's a good amount of them working 30 minutes of you; way more than in the Omaha area. Not a lot of NE action on this forum but there are some guys.
  5. I live in Nebraska and have to say that the fishing in South Dakota has me driving 4 hours every weekend, both on hard water and soft. I don't target lmb there but catch pike, walleye, smb and panfish, really nice panfish.
  6. Looks like a great time and I'm super jealous of having that resource near by. Hitting the road to Lake Oahe today to try and catch some eyes and would love to have 1/10 of your success!
  7. Do you realize what 'possession limit' means? In Nebraska, it would be twice your daily limit, which would be 8 walleye. I thought the forum supported following regulations, and I would be willing to bet that having 64 walleyes in your freezer is not legal anywhere.
  8. Looks like a great time. What are you catching them on? Also, as a question since I'm not sure what state you're in, but is it legal to have 64 fish in your freezer, in your possession?
  9. Yum Crawbug; my favorite soft plastic craw!
  10. January 1st. Clam Dingle Drop jig tipped with a wax worm through 6" of ice. First open water bass came on a ned rig! First Ned fish for me.
  11. I'm from Nebraska and we're planning on heading down to KS this year to fish for some crappies. I know there are quite a few guys from KS on the board and was wondering if they could give any advice on what time of the year the fish start going and what lakes to try. Right now we're planning on the 2nd week in April and leaning towards Kirwin or Glen Elder. Any advice?
  12. I've got the 6920 President on my St. Croix Premier 6' L & UL; my favorite setup.
  13. Would LOVE to hear your definition of "affordable".

I've got the Engel 65 and leave it cable locked in the back of my truck. It's too heavy to move around very often.

Just picked up some packs of the TRD along with the mushroom heads from TW and am excited to try this rig out soon.
  16. Was that from the small bass boat anglers swap? There's a guy there every year that sells Pointers for $5 NIB; that's where I got all 12 of my mine. Looks like he may have raised his prices slightly tho.
  17. Again, I understand how the seeding works with the tie breakers but don't agree with it. All I'm saying is that Dallas has the exact same record as the #1 seed and beat them in their "unbeatable" home and didn't get a bye; that's all I'm saying is that a Dallas fan should have a gripe.
  18. How about losing to Dallas who has the exact same record and didn't get a bye? I understand the tiebreakers but is have a tough time swallowing this one if I was a Dallas fan. Seattle beat GB so they should be playing this weekend in my opinion with Seattle and Dallas getting the bye IMO.
  19. Lipless crank. I've heard how effective they are in cold water but I've never caught one and put it down and fish a jig or jerkbait.
  20. Lipless crank. I've heard how effective they are in cold water but I've never caught one and out it down and fish a jig or jerkbait.

  22. Just check your regs to make sure that is a legal opuion; it's not in just about everywhere in Nebraska.
