  1. Do you have bullhead in that lake? Looks like one to me.
  2. Who was fishing in the front of the boat? That guy usually has first lock at the best spots and should catch more.
  3. Nebraska, Iowa & South Dakota. Same list every year.
  4. I fished in that same wind in Eastern Nebraska yesterday. We left the house at 5 and the wind literally never laid down; not fun to control the boat in for sure.
  5. If they’re consistently breaking off near the bank, they’re probably spinning the line, weakening it and breaking off. Get a net bruh!
  6. How long has the ice been off? Are you closer to ice out or the spawn? I would assume you’re not close to the gills spawning but we have this same question raised every year here in Nebraska when crappie and bluegill are spawning. The consensus is that spawning takes a lot out of these fish and “some” die every year, but not enough to impact the population.
  7. This is why I don’t buy any “Bass Assassin” products; the nerve of those people.
  8. I’m in Nebraska and feeling this too; we’ve had (2) “500 year floods” in the last 8 years. If the fishing is all you have to worry about during these floods, I don’t feel too bad for you.
  9. I’m an admitted Broncos fan and Chiefs hater, but I’ve been an adamant anti-Hill guy since he was drafted. Ray Rice got kicked out of the league because a video of him punching a woman surfaced. Tyreek strangled and punched his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach and not only got drafted, but became a fan favorite in K.C. I’ve been to every Bronco game in K.C. with fans chanting, “Tyreek, Tyreek” when he’s ready to catch a punt and always wondered how they could forgive this man. I seriously wonder if Chiefs fans will still embrace this horrible excuse for a human being?
  10. Not trying to be rude, but the first one looks like a 3 lber, the last one definitely looks in the 4 lb class to me. We don’t have smallmouth here so what do I know; nice fish either way.
  11. Start so that the trailer is “back” on the ball or not far enough forward because the trailer still needs to move slightly forward. Lower the trailer slightly to put some weight on the ball and then push the trailer forward. This will seat the trailer on the ball properly. Sometimes, depending on the type of incline or decline you’re on, you have to push the trailer back while it’s seated on the ball in order to get it to latch properly.
  12. We keep mostly crappies, but not every one we catch. Some gills, but prefer crappie. dont catch many walleye in NE, but when we do, they aren’t headed back in the water. All bass are released.
  13. You want an ultra light to light rod for panfish and a medium heavy to heavy to extra heavy rod for catfish; depending on what size you’ll encounter. You can catch a fish in anything, but I’d recommend separate setups for panfish and catfish.
  14. You can tell the difference too because Rage baits must copy other successful new baits by putting their “patented flange” on the baits. I’d go with Zoom and save some money. A brush hog is the original creature bait and is hard to beat; go with the baby if the regular size is too big for ya.
  15. I’m guessing a free one.
  16. Looking to redo the main trailer lights for turn signals, brake lights, etc...
  17. Just got a new to me Lund and am needing to re-do the trailer lights. Any suggestions on brands to buy or any helpful tips?
  18. Google, “tuning a crankbait”. Might be as simple as bending the attachment for the o-ring to either side.
  19. I live in Nebraska and a lot of this doesn’t pertain to me with high dollar tourneys on my local lakes. Ar any rate, I do 99% of my fishing on the weekend and if I get to a spot first, I could give a sh** who was fishing it yesterday.
  20. Those are literally the only 2 colors I buy for soft plastics; except for minnow imitating baits, where I’ll buy Shad and smoke colors.
  21. Clam Drop Kick and Custom Jigs and Spins Sleder Spoons are my favorites for panfish but I’ve been doing really well on the Clam Half Ant Drop for finicky crappie this year; put 45 on top of the ice for me this past Saturday.
  22. bassh8er replied to Kayak Koz's topic in Fishing Reports
I’ve caught a fish every month of the year since I bought my boat in March of 2015. Ice fishing helps but November and February are usually the toughest months out of the year for me to catch one. Already took care of February this past Saturday. Pig crappie on the ice.
  23. Shouldn’t be too hard to find then. I’d start on the weed edges and then move to the “basin” and keep popping holes and moving around until you find them.
