  1. Sounds like an amazing trip. Congrats!!!
  2. Nice one. Hope the rest of your year is as fruitful.
  3. Going to be in downtown Milwaukee March 20 - 23. Is it worth it to bring the gear? Won't have much free time ( 2-3 hours in the evening, maybe) curious if I might be able to be put on some fish in that little bit of time or if my gear should just stay home. Also private transportation will probably be non existent as I am riding up with my students. Let me know. Thanks. Edit: It appears I will be less than a half a mile from Pere Marquette park/ N riverwalk way and the Milwaukee river
  4. I have been fishing for 15 years on and off and get skunked all the time. Including the last three times out, just keep on it, be methodical, wrote down what did and didn't work, can't cover all the shoreline, start in one place and work in one direction the next time start where you left off. Slow and methodical
  5. You could try to throw the tackle box. If its big enough you might hit a fish. I feel your pain. Threw everything in my box this morning and only caught a cast net someone discarded and a nasty cut on my hand. Hope it changes for your next outing. Keep on em.
  6. You get distracted during your "intimate times" by what you think the fish will be doing in the AM and what rod setups you will be using.
  7. Teal, it was a sight all right. Never seen anything like it. Probably never will again either.
  8. That said I did see a moose swimming across a lake in Canada with a bear swimming after it.
  9. With that much evidence you should be fine. eBay is good at dealing with problems. Just in their own time.
  10. Good luck man. That sounds like some hard work but well worth it.
  11. Congrats!!! The boat should have a name plate on it. That will tell you make and model as well as the motor restrictions and weight capacity. I can't tell you anything about the trolling motor mounts but if you can look at one in the store you should be able to reverse engineer it, although sometimes purchasing something come with a little extra piece of mind. Edit: Found this might be what you are looking for. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/102692-diy-bow-mount-trolling-motor-bracket/
  12. Good luck. Hope it works out for you.
  13. I think this is a great idea. I am constantly looking for more information on bass behavior. As a kid learning to fish there was no discussion I why we are or aren't catching bass, I just knew we were or weren't. Now that I am older and on my own, as far as fishing goes, I am still a little behind in being able to truly know what the bass are doing, and where they are. I have found some great topics pertaining to this on the site, but would love a centralized location.
  14. Welcome, sounds like a great idea. Good Luck!!
  15. Thoughts and prayers to Dave and you. Hoping the best comes his way.
  16. Wow. That seems really easy. But like joe I live paycheck to paycheck. Sad really, I work to hard to be this broke. Will definitely try this in the future thanks for sharing.
  17. This might be helpful. http://patentauthority.com/2008/12/patent-pending-without-nda/
  18. Nice fish!! It's a shame you threw the rod and reel back, that would have been a keeper IMO.
  19. Thanks!! Like they say a bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work. Winter bank fishing is a complicated beast. I'll get mine soon enough.
  20. Well, I skipped out of work a little early tiday to get in some fishing, bad idea, should have stayed at work. Lost 3 swim baits, a spinner, drop shot rig, Carolina rig and broke a pole trying to retrieve a lure. All that and this is all I caught; Maybe I am just getting all my "bad luck" out of the way early. Hoping to get back out there Sunday but, at the current rate I won't be able to afford it. Hope you all had a better day than me.
