  1. I just bought a Walmart...Everstart Maxx 31 Marine for starting and fishfinders(2). Was $85 with a 18 month warranty. Kelley
  2. I just rewired my boat trailer and car hauler. I ran the wires inside a cheap water hose cut in the lengths needed. No chaffing the wires on the inside of the rails on boat trailer or through the holes on the frame of the car hauler. Kelley
  3. I have lots of pictures like that burned forever in my mind. The only difference is most of those snags had 25 or 30 foot tops when I last saw the 'Big Pond'. Kelley
  4. I too have fished the old style and worked well untill a mudfish took it away from me. Kelley

I never got to meet Charlie Brewer but have fished the slider since the '70s. Billy Westmoreland was a good friend of mine. Billy even endorsed a lure of mine, the Marabou Spin. This lure was in the Feb 2000 issue of BASS as a Smallmouth bait. Kelley
  12. Yea, but they sure catch fish and that is never boring. Kelley

Good to see you and son fishing. I also met you and son on the second Lake Fork R-trip. The young man has grown up since I saw him last. Kelley
  14. I have a 2005 and get 15-16 mpg at highway speeds empty. I get around 13-14 mpg towing my TR-21 at highway speeds. I towed it to Lake Fork and to Michigan from Southern Illinois without a problem. Kelley
  15. I have been retired for 30 yrs. It never gets old, every day is yours to do what you want. ENJOY! Kelley
  16. I moved to Michigan to get away from hot weather. Today it is 96* and high humidity. Kelley

  19. the lower abu reels the one just above the cardnal seriesI'm thinking after this long drill when I get home in june I'm gonna buy 2 new set ups like maybe a veritas spinning rod with maybe a shimano reel. This will be my major spinning set up and finese bait combo. I have been on this forum several years and everone knows I am a die-hard ABU fan. Take my advice and buy the Shimano spinning reel. The lower end ABU reels are junk. Kelley
  20. "BLACKBERRY WINTER". This should be the last cold spell before Summer. Kelley
  21. I fish and hunt whenever I have the chance and do not limit my time to the tables. I have found over the last 50 years I have used the tables I catch more and bigger fish and see more deer during the times stated. If any of you are hunters I am sure you have been in the woods when it is as quite as a tomb, suddenly the woods come alive, ie birds singing, squirrels barking, and seeing more wildlife. These signs coordinate with the times given by the tables. Kelley
  22. Y'All just keep fishing and hunting anytime. I will use the correct tables and catch more fish and kill more deer in less time. I have been useing them for over 50 years and they work for me. Kelley
  23. That looks like some of the Cotton Mouths I have seen basking in the Sun on flooded bushes at the 'Big Pond'. Kelley
  24. When it is raining the fish look up. A buzz bait is my first choice, also top water lure or a spinnerbait work well. Kelley
  25. I had the same results. Invest in some goretex stay dry in a downpour. The set I am wearing now are 9 years old and still keep me dry even after thousands of gallons of rain. Kelley
