I was watching a video with Steve Daniel’s and he has a custom made rod with a weighted tip. He said it improves casting and action on his baits. If anyone would know it would be him. One of the best with a jerk bait

Try them on a weighted keel hook . They swim great

Older a little slower on soft plastics like a Rage Bug a 4 or so. On Flukes or Slug Go reel and lean into em . Moving baits more of a reaction I guess . But still a mono guy

The old Culprit still catches em I throw it on heavier spinning gear they way they told us to in the 80 s . Red Tequila shad. Still get em at Walmart .

I have been Neko Rigging this UV craw . 1/16 ounce weight in the bottom and have been putting a glass rattle on the head. Using a size 1/0 or 2/0 hook coming up from the bottom. It stands straight up in a defensive position at rest and comes through the water really natural. Thought i would share . Can’t take credit for this seen it on Bassgeek. Really worth a try. Works with both the magnum or regular size. Or any craw with a worm body

My setup is 15 lb BG Mono . My Rod is a MH 7 ft . It has enough give for the strike but loads up quick for the set
