I don't get it. Your heading says it's "false" but your post indicates that that it is indeed true.

Let's Talk Solos Here
How about a Willy Nelson guitar solo or Aker Bilk's "Tellstar" Any Louis Armstrong trumpet solo. Pete Fountan on the clarinet. A sax solo by Kenny G. The list goes on and on, but, I'm showing my age. I have no idea who the previous posters are talking about.

Baitcasting Reel For $150
Wait a week, when the new curado comes out. I have 8 curados that date back from 1998-2005. All of them are still working the way they did when I bought them. Never been in for repair. Cleaned and lubed every year. Buy Shimano. I'm serious.

Is A Split Grip Worth An Extra $40 To $50?
Last spring, I decided I needed a new spinnerbait rod. I was on my way to Ky. Lake for two weeks. I went to Cabela's and shopped the rod racks. I decided on a split-grip Mojo 7 ft. "spinnerbait" rod. Did not put a reel on it, Just liked the action. Forward: Got to Ky. lake and put on my spinnerbait reel, a Shimano bantam 101 with 10 lb. cxx. One day of fishing and I needed a new rod. There is no way I can fish with a split grip. It doesn't fit my hand/very uncomfortable feel. All of my rods, are full grip cork (don't care about the cork quality) St Croix .I guess I'm just old but I know what I like and split grips are not on my list.

What Is Wrong With Me And Fluro?

What Is Wrong With Me And Fluro?
Coots, as another vision imperfect " bassfisherguy" and a "I hate floro guy" , The members that suggested P-line cxx are 100% "right on" I have used that line for years and have never had a bad day with it. The other advantage of cxx is that it's strength to diameter is the best in the business. P-line will list it as #14 lb. test but the breaking point will be about 18-20. As I said, my sight is not good, however, the uni to uni knot is as easy a knot for braid to leader as there is , just use BIG loops so you can feel the line tip through.Good luck.

Punching Or Senko/fluke, Where To Put My Money
Bigfish, I also live in Wi. and fish lakes all over the state. With the exception of the Mississippi river, I have never found that I needed to "punch" What natural lakes that you fish have that kind natural vegetation? Just a question.

Help! Lake Guntersville Late March Trip?
I too am going down to Guntersville for the first time in March. After doing some internet research back in Nov. I discovered that one of the best guides on Guntersville does " in your boat trips" I talked to him for about a half an hour on the phone, what a great guy. He doesn't fish, he just guides you, marks maps, will enter gps waypoints, A full day trip for $ 150 bucks. If your going to spend the bucks for a trip like that, do yourself a favor, hire a guide, it will make the trip that much more enjoyable and you learn what you just asked. Info: Guide Troy Jens. Phone:265 604 0344. e-mail troysoutdoors@gmail.com. Hope this helps you out. Good Luck. Just to let you know, I have fished all over the south for the last 20 years and the #1 thing I have learned is hire a guide on your 1st. trip to a lake.

What Are You Doing Until The Ice Thaws?
Does sitting in my man cave, -15 outside, drool running down my chin, blindly looking at 50+ years of fishing pictures, many with my Dad and good fishing friends now gone, going over my fishing logs of 25 years, ignoring the fishing catalogs, and once in awhile a mournful sigh escaping count? However, I now have to start getting my gear ready. Three weeks from today, I'm leaving for a 2 week trip to Guntersville. Even though there will still be 3 ft. of ice on the lakes when I get back. My 68 year old body will have a new bounce in my step and a renewed vigor. Then about a month after that the durn ice will go away and we will have 6 months to fish before it starts all over again. Life in the North. Wouldn't have it any other way.

How Is My Tackle Box Looking...
That's a good start, now you need to work up to 100 lbs. of plastics, triple digit cranks, 20 lbs. of jigs ,triple digit spinnerbaits, at least 1k hooks, 20+ lbs. of assorted sinkers. You, have just been bitten by the "monkey" .There is no cure. You can't overcome it. As long a you fish for bass, you will not be able drive by a tackle store. When Christmas rolls around, you won't be happy unless you get a couple of BPS gift cards and you will be happy that Christmas is past because that is when the new BPS and Cabelas catalogs show up. Welcome back to the world of the obsessed. We need more like you to help us feel normal because our wives and friends that don't fish for bass think of us as craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy.

Hello From The Frozen Tundra Nw Indiana
You do realize, that the term "frozen tundra", was coined by a football broadcaster in Green Bay during the '67 Ice bowl. We own it, but you can use it. We just need to get through this "polar vortex" BS and go fishing. Welcome.

Spare Change Laying Around?
I have boxes here and bottles and my wife says" why", Because my love, iffin you ever decide I can't buy my fishin tackle , I will use these funds to dump your sorry ass. This is totally not true. My wife of 44 years chases me out of the house to go fishing. But for 20+ years I love to dump change into boxes and bottles. I would guess I have 5-6K in change. And my bride collects pennys..

Opening Day Soon!
We had a chance for a BPS in Green Bay a couple of years ago. The Packers own a mile of frontage road between the stadium and highway "41" Just off highway "41 was borrow pit that was used to provide fill for a 3 lane street to the stadium. The Packers want to develop their land for income. BPS wanted to put in a store at that site. Fast forward: The local "tree huggers" decided that because the borrow pit had cattails, it was a goose nesting site. ( we have 50 miles of goose nesting sites on both sides of Green Bay) After the local media sold out to the "tree huggers" BPS said FU. Two years later, guess what is on that land? A brand new Cabela's. Who do you think paid the Packers more bucks.
