  1. Get in a treestand with a bow. Bring up bass resource and read about fishing while you wait on a deer.
  2. I just thought the land line was dead
  3. Love I mean this sincerely If you truly love the sport you will put the time and effort into being more successful. It is like anything else in this life the more you love it the more you do it and the better you get at it. That is what is so great about this site, thanks to Glenn and the other mods they have made a place for us ones that truly love this sport to have a place where we can interact and help each other. For that I would like to sank you to them.

I voted twice Just trying to make up for the ones who don't
  5. A big bait can be successful in the dead of winter. Remember bass don't wont to spend more energy then they need for a meal. If given the opportunity where you put the bait right in front of them you can catch some monsters.
  6. Does anyone actually like clowns?
  7. Do deaf people talk to themselves? Seems like too much work.
  8. If you are afraid to lose a lure other then open top water baits chances are you are fishing it wrong. Getting nasty on the bottom will produce numbers and size.
  9. Welcome back after 20 years. You will love this team. Since my reds jhave been out of it I have adopted the royals to watch. They played small ball all year but now are hitting for power as well. Plus they seem to make every catch when it is needed.
  10. My senior year in college I took a humanities class. I had already been accepted to law school so I blew off most of my classes. However I never missed this class. Take it all in. It is amazing how big this worlds arts and cultures are. We as Americans do not even realize how much there is to learn and see in the US let alone the rest of the world. If you ever get a chance go to a trans Siberia orchestra show. It will blow your mind.
  11. Most likely going to a raider game
  12. Before my dad passed he gave me the greatest advice ever. Tell them what they want to hear ad do what you want to do. It has been the happiest two years of my life. I never knew divorce could be so liberating.
  13. I second clown jerk baits.
  14. Used to live in KY but not that area. However I recommend looking into cabin creek tubes. I always have had luck in the lakes down there. They are made locally and offer great colors. Also in the spring and fall don't over look spinners and jerkbaits. I am sorry I did not answer your questions just miss the fishing there.
  15. I tried that with a Honda and touched my nose. Happily divorced for a year.
  16. Hit the gym. The better you feel about yourself other things will come. When you leave the house always be dressed nicely, you never know when you will meet the love of your life. Be clean cut, you can always pick up trash looking like trash, but to get someone classy one needs to be classy themselves. Smile and be positive. Happy people want to be around happy people. Even if your are not the happiest at the moment, fake it till you make it. Remember the chase is almost as fun as the catch. Take your time and do it right and the rewards tend to be greater. Never be afraid to talk to the most beautiful woman in the room. Often times they are overlooked because people like you are to afraid to talk to them. If your heart is pure and your intentions are noble nobody is out of your league.
  17. I would rather be homeless then do that job

I disagree with the statement to join the volunteer dept. Many bad habits are learned along with an inflated ego. For what it's worth both my brother and I were volunteers before he joined the paid department. He has told me several times how much harder it made it for him. If you join a paid department that is worth a d**n they break you down and build you back up like the military. My brother is a training officer now. My recommendation to you is this Study hard. Exorcise a lot. It is a physically demanding job. Don't do drugs. They drug test. Figure out what you want to do as a second job. It is mostly a low paying job. Learn to swing a hammer or turn a wrench. Prepare yourself to deal with all walks of society. You will deal with crazy people drunks liars wife beaters and aholes. That is before you leave the firehouse. You can only imagine what you will see in public. Marry a rich girl. Be prepared to battle demons when you can't sleep at night thinking about the child you could not save. Be prepared to know that any day your best friend did not make it out of the fire. Be prepared to have friendships and a brotherhood that only few can understand.
  20. Thanks for the kind words guys

So last night at three in the morning my sister's house caught on fire. I am on vacation in Florida. I am 17 hours away. I feel like there is nothing that I can do. However at 7 this morning I start getting calls from my family saying that people are just showing up to help her. These are my fishing and golfing buddies just doing anything and everything they can. I am sitting here crying my eyes out realizing how blessed I am. Only 1 out of my 6 buddies that showed up had ever met my sister. I have always tried to help a friend in need. It is just amazing when you love your fellow man when you are at your weakest and lowest how they seem to come to the rescue. I would just like to take the time to say thank you to all of you that post here. Although I have only met a handful of you guys I consider you all friends.
  22. Thanks I needed a laugh
