Baitcasting Reels Not Made In China?
GM has already recalled 25.68 million this year That's a complete false, ignorant and misinformed statement. My wife has a chevy cobalt that doesn't have a "crescent" wrench hanging from it and her ignition slipped from a mere 2 keys going down the road. If you would like me to get a scale /w pictures, I assure you the weight difference is substantial. Learn the difference between a comma and a period if you actually want to make a compelling argument that even sounds remotely intelligent or articulate. Recalls aren't given because somebody is using something "to an extreme". It's given because there is a potential problem or a reoccurring problem that needs to be addressed before anybody or more people get hurt/injured. This isn't the 1960's. There's thousands of more drivers on the road right now and it's much less "safe" to drive now then it is even 10 years ago. They best thing they can do for a vehicle now is make them safer or as you call it "idiot proof." At leastt look at a past list of prior recalls to any vehicle before stating something so asinine and you'll notice that just about ever single problem is engineer related....not user. http://www.nhtsa.gov/Vehicle+Safety/Recalls+&+Defects What are almost all those? SAFETY (again, as you call it "idiot proofing") precautions. Now you can go though the entire list that's pages upon pages and probably find something in there that you could argue is "using something to an extreme" or you could look at it as something that could potentially happen to your wife/daughter down the road. Hence..the recall.

Which Do You Use More, Light Wire Or Thicker Wire Hooks?
The only thin wire hooks I use are on a DS. Everything else is heavy gauge.

30Lb Power Pro Snapping Clean Today.
I'll echo the other comments. Braid has very poor abrasion resistance on rocky structure. As Bob said, I've also found 832 has probably the best abrasion resistant as far as braided line goes on rock but as a whole, it still isn't great.

Is My Line Too Light For Jigs?
nancies....I fish 20# fluoro on 2 jigs rods and t rig rod. the other has 15. I'm always throwing in laydowns and brush though in backwaters. If I were fishing deep, clear waters i'd probably opt for 10-12. If you aren't breaking off or constantly getting line frays, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Champion 705Cb
the 705cb is a fast action crankbait rod. It isn't fast like a jig/worm rod but it's faster than your typical crankbait rod. I personally don't like the graphite fast. I use the 705cb glass. top half glass. bottom half graphite. rod fishes like a graphite fast rod until a fish loads up on it and then the glass action kicks in. it's a really special rod. rod is perfect for squarebills and lipless baits. As for 1/4oz, if you are throwing primarily 1/4 and 3/8 squarebills in open water, you won't like the 705(unless you want 1/4 lipless cranks...the 705 will throw those a mile). the 704 is much better suited for those baits. I can throw 1/4 oz squarebills on the 705 but I use 51 size shimano. I don't understand braid because its a moderate action but if you like braid, go for it. I prefer mono and fluoro depending on where I'm fishing. you won't have a problem getting a hookset /w a moderate action..

Swim Jigs.
essentially a more narrow bullet shape head design /w a softer weedguard and a lighter(not light just lighter than your california heavy duty hook) wire hook. also the skirting is traditionally a much lesser 20-30 strand skirt.

Swim Jigs.
Love them 1/4 oz Brovarney Swim jig in Blue Crab (bluegill), white/gold, black/purple Trailer varies on how they are biting.

Why Isn't Quantum More Popular?
Im not sure if you're a troll or actually as dense as you come off.. Either way...http://bit.ly/1pAy3OP} I also fish more daiwa than shimano

Why Isn't Quantum More Popular?
Shimanos flagship reel is the antares/metanium... Not the curado...

Why Isn't Quantum More Popular?
Before you begin on an endless spew of nonsense...perhaps have an understanding as to what a "flagship" reel is...

Why Isn't Quantum More Popular?
I absolutely cannot stand listening to Gary Klien proclaim that he couldn't have caught this fish without this amazing Quantum rod and reel. It's just so lightweight and sensitive I swear the guy says it after every fish he catches. It's almost as if he interrupts himself just to say that and then gets back on track.

DX743 Curado 51e 12# fluoro usually 1/8oz tungsten weight + zoom GP tube /w a trokar tube hook. LegendXtreme69mlxf stradic 1000 6# fluoro 1/8 or 3/16 tube jig head + small gizit tube.- How To Get Grass
Don't add grass. Add wood and add rock and enjoy.- Making Jig Skirts/save Money?
If you go through a lot of jigs, then yes tying your own is worth it. I had to do a lot of searching (I don't pour my own jig heads) for painted bulk brush jigs and football jigs with a quality hook and I buy some really nice ones for under 1$ a piece. I buy my skirting material from fishingskirts.com. I usually use 3 tabs per jig so it costs me after i buy bulk skirting material around 1.5 for a really nice quality jig that i make exactly how i want. sure as heck beats 4$ retail. If you don't go through a lot of jigs and just want some nice ones, get mike a call at SiebertsOutdoors.com. Very, very good jigs and inexpensive as well.- Rage Rig???
