  1. OK, sorry about that Super Fluke. Guess I should look at the whole picture rather than just what I want to see. LOL
  2. How deep is that brush pile? Looks like a tough one to pin point,
  3. Does DVTstand behind thie work? I sent a reel to them for the first time and since it came home the anti reverse works intermittently. Caused several major backlashes and missed hook sets last week!
  4. Salenity how long was that 4?
  5. Pretty chilly early this morning, but hooked up with a couple smallies right away. Spent all my time on the dam since we were catching smallmouth. Did not scale any but had several 15 to 17 in hers. Was good talking to some of you guys that I had not met before
  6. Sounds like Melvern will be crowded. Maybe should go crappie fishing at Perry.
  7. That's when I was thinking of going.
  8. If you start having power issues or engine dieing it could have blocked the pickup tube. I had this problem once. I would try to get it out using a pickup tool something like this. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/OEM-4-prong-claw-flexible-shaft-pick-up-tool/_/N-25zu?itemIdentifier=141494_0_0_
  9. Anybody fished Melvern recently? Wondering if the smallmouth are hitting.
  10. Shucks, I decided against LaCygne Wednesday.
  11. Guys, I have a question. Where in KC is a good reel repair shop? I have an old Shimanno Stradic 2000 spinning reel that needs some TLC. This reel has made at least 10 trips to Ontario and fought numerous smallmouth, Northern Pike and Walleye, not to mention the crappie and bass locally. I'm sure a disassemble and good cleaning would be in order. It also catches when cranking occasionally. I really like this size reel and would like to get it the care it needs.
  12. Fished Wyco this morning, don't usually go there on weekend but the weather was so nice I just had to get out and didn't get out of bed soon enough to go anywhere else. Smallmouth were really on today. Caught three keeper size including this 17 inch one.
  13. Fished WYCO in the rain this morning, Great time! Caught probably 25 bass in 2 hours. No monsters but plenty of 13 and 14 inch fish. Water is super clear and fish are in shallow water.
  14. Just wondering? If anyone would share some GPS coordinates for Melvern Lake, I have never fished that lake, but the pics of those healthy brown bass really has me interested in going there. I have no idea where to fish since I have never even been on the lake. I would be going during the week, since I'm retired, so I wouldn't be in most of your way on the weekends. Message me if you would,
  15. Well, I am officially an OLD man now. Recieved my first Social Security payment today!
  16. Yep especially in a lake with Zebra Mussels, I have had the same problem at WYCO. Try to remember to retie frequently.
  17. What bait are you guys using on the Shakey heads at Wyco? I have not had much luck using short worms.
  18. Fished Wyco today from 6 AM to 10 AM, caught 14 fish combo smallie and LMB. Two Keepers one 17". Jigs and tubes worked the best. Jigs on LMB tubes for the smallies.
  19. I took them off my trailer, way too slick plus they were very flimsy and bowed bad. Might be OK on a john boat that is not heavy as a bass boat.
  20. Hit Wyco this morning, got there at 6 AM , not much action until around 10AM. Then bass were attacking shad on top of the water in the middle of the lake. Threw a small fluke into the churning water and hooked up almost every time. Had fun, although that's not normal bass fishing
  21. Surprise! Looking for bass with a crank bait and . . . . . . . . . Oh well I'll take it. 21 inches, did not scale it.
  22. Could you copy and paste from the SD to a new MicroSD? just a thought.
  23. Just got back from Rainy Lake, Ontario. Lot's of nice 3+ lb smallmouth, nice big Northern Pike, and a few Walleye! Had an awesome week!
  24. Well, just bought my Ontario fishing license on line! Gonna be a long week since we don't leave until next Saturday.
  25. With what you are doing I would just twist the wires together and use Marine Shrink wrap over the twisted wires.
