  1. Went to Leavenworth State Lake this morning. No monsters but probably 25 or 30 nice bass in the 13 to 16 inch range. It was fun.
  2. I have caught several like that this year. Over populated small fish? That's my thought. Surely that many boats with guys who know how to fish should be able to get something over 2# if there are a few in the lake.
  3. How is the water level? Is the boat ramp deep enough to launch a bass boat? Haven't been there for a couple years due to low water.
  4. Yep, that's right. Also got checked for a license. Had my state license but don't need one for Wyco since I'm an old fart !
  5. I fished Wyco Thursday morning. 7 to 1130. Caught 7 LMB most 13 to 14 but did manage he keeper @ 15.25. Also got 5 small mouth biggest went 14 inches.
  6. DRAG. ..........loosen the drag ! ! !

  8. Crappie, cornbread, mac'n cheese, and granddaughters for dinner today. Had a couple hugs for desert. Doesn't get any better for fathers day
  9. Lake. Really not big enough for that, espically this close to the metro city.
  10. Don't see that ever being an option, many more bank fishermen than boaters so the revenue from permits would be drastically reduced. Not enough $$ according to the government officials.
  11. Maybe when the small mouth get a little bigger it will be like the would days. I enjoy the fight of the small mouth over the LMB.
  12. Nice fish Curt, where you find it?
  13. Anybody reccoment a decent affordable prop repair shop?
  14. Guess I don't know how to post pics very well couldn't get all on one post. So here are a few more from Ontario. Caught lots of noce walleye. This one was 4.5 lb. Smaller ones went back for dinner. Northern Pike were very aggressive. loads of them in the 6 to 8 lb range. This one was 10lb 6 oz. It was a great time and made reservation for next June before we left camp.
  15. Made it back from Rainy Lake, Ontario. Was a great trip, except for the rock that messed up my prop, glad I carried a spare! Nice view from the porch of the cabin. Probably 30+ smallmouth per day, 2.5 to 3.5 lb range.
  16. Hope you guys have a great time on Grand. I'm heading the other way Saturday. Going to Rainy Lake, Ontario for a week of small mouth and northern pike fishing. Way back in the woods, no TV, no Cell Phone, no wife, but will have indoor toilet and shower ! Hope I get some nice pics to pot when I get home.
  17. Started getting stuff together and packing up for my annual trip to Rainy Lake, Ontario. Can't wait..........leaving Saturday 4:00 AM. Whoo hoo!
  18. My Johnson engine has the same hole. Drips water but never any oil.
  19. Hit up Wyco today, was nice early but got crowded later on. Caught several small mouth, most in the 12 to 14 inch range. Did get one 19 inch only weighed in at 1 lb 15 oz, a little t:him.
  20. Hey fluke, how's the little one doing? You getting any sleep?
  21. No wipers to be found, one white bass. Drum bite was good for us as well...some really nice big ones ..lol
  22. Went to Lacygne with a couple old friends today. Had a pretty good day. Here is a pic of a nice 3 1/2. Caught quite a few others just not quite as big. Also caught several channel cats and a flathead that would probably go 7#. That was fun on a fitness rod.
  23. Question: I bought some bladed jigs but have never fished them, do you fish them the same as a regular jig, or swim them?
  24. congratulations !!!! He will be keeping you busy for quite a while. Hope you can find a little time to wash your lures in the future.
  25. Too bad the Wyco TX couldn't weigh in 12" fish would make it much more interesting when more than one or two fish could be weighed. I fished a similar week night group on Perry that was a paper TX we would measure fish and used a chart to get weight. Of course you had to trust everybody because it was on then honor system. Not that much $$ involved but was a lot of fun and plenty of BS on the ramp.
