  2. Thanks!! 2 more days.... Looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great day of fishing
  3. Where is the self pay box located? Close to the boat ramp? I dont want to miss it in the dark
  4. Thanks!! I normally just back the trailer in and have only tried to load it back up a few times. I get it on there but it takes me a few times and is a little embarassing!!!
  5. I will have an empty back seat in the Ranger if there are any last minute non-boaters or if there are any no shows. As long as they don't mind fishing a lake that I have never seen before!! I may need help loading and unloading the boat if someone is willing to help. I am NOT good at this part at all. Once it is in the water I know what to do. :-)
  6. Thank you! I just found out that my father in law isn't going to be able to make it so I will be a one man show.
  7. Where are the best areas to concentrate on? We have never been to Melvern before and would like to actually catch some fish.

  11. take a pair of pliers and bend the line tie in the direction you want the bait to run. In this case bend it slightly to the left and test it, it may take a time or two to get it perfect.
  12. I'm in. Heck I went and got my license today at Cabelas. I sure hope the weather is better next Saturday than it is today!!!!
  13. Just checked the 10 day forecast for Melvern and it shows partly cloudy with a NNE wind at 9mph. High of 68*. I wonder how many times this will change in a week!!!!
  14. sounds like it was still a good day at Melvern. I can't remember the last time I caught 40 fish in a day.
  15. I will take a bunch of dinks over being skunked any day. I just love to catch fish, size does not matter to me one bit.
  16. Thanks guys. Guess I will need to make another trip to the tackle shop.....
  17. What color are you guys throwing on the Ned rig? Also would a regular senko or Yum dinger work just as well?
  18. Sounds like another fine day at Melvern. I am very excited to get there on the 20th. I hope someone can give me some ideas on where to fish as we have never seen the lake before. What were you guys catching them on?
  19. It was a tough weekend for sure. We couldn't get anything good to bite. We caught a few small ones and lots of whites and even a walleye. There was a 13 yr old boy that was in the lead on Saturday, it would have been nice to see him win 1st place. I think he ended up 2nd, still a nice chunk of 20k prize money.
  20. Ya, it is going to be a little over 2 hours for us, but unless the weather is going to be bad we will be there. Just have to mapquest the directions to the state park.
  21. 7 sounds good to me. We will have to leave pretty early to make it on time!! Put us down for 3 or 4 bags of chips and maybe some type of dessert.
  22. Well that seems easy enough. Thanks for explaining it. I guess I better go get me some smaller heads.
  23. And all you do with the Ned rig is drag in on the bottom? It almost seems too easy!!!!
  24. Man that sounds like an awesome day for sure!!! I just told my father in law about it and he is even more excited to get out there on the 20th!!!
  25. Hey Blue. Did you get a chance to get to Melvern today? What a nice day to be out on the water for sure!!! Kyle
