  1. I have only been to Coffey County a few times. When you guys talk about fishing the rip rap are you talking about the area around the hot water side? Or is there more around the lake to fish?

Do yourself a favor and buy some Megastrike Cavitron Buzzbaits. They are the best ones out there. When you take it out of the package use some pliers to crimp the rivet piece at the bottom of the blade. As far as color.... black on black. It's the only one I use. I throw it all the time there is a top water bite.
  3. Is anyone fishing this weekend (somewhat close to KC) that has an open seat?? I have only been out a couple times this year and have only caught 2 bass I would love to go somewhere that the opportunity is there to catch more than 1. If anyone has an open seat shoot me a PM and we can discuss it. Thank you Kyle
  4. I really like this line in 8,10 and 12lb test. I tried the 15lb once and hated it. Even with line conditioner I couldn't get it to behave.
  5. I have tried them before and I do not care for them. They tear up plastic baits faster than any other types of hooks. Also I kept having a problem keeping the fish on the hook. I don't know if maybe it made a larger hole or what but when I switched back Gamakatsu hooks that went away. Just my opinion though
  6. My father in law fished a few days ago at Watkins Mill and said he never had a bite. No clue what he was using. I can't wait to show him this picture!!!! Care to share what they were eating that day??
  7. There is a place in Smithville called Shoreline. Kansas City, MO 14804 Shamrock Way Smithville, MO 64089 Email ToddE@ShorelineBoatandRV.com Phone (816)-532-8670 Hours: 8-5 Monday-Friday
  8. I am a bank beater. I mainly fish with my father in law and we are both clueless if we try going out deep. I need a good teacher to take me out and show me how.
  9. I always used the 100gr. Spitfires. Shooting out of a 65lb bow I had no problem blowing right through the deer and always had them open.
  10. What happened with the new stick bait you were showing us awhile ago? The one with the different colored egg sack? I was interested in trying some of those out.
  11. I don't think I have ever fished one T-rigged
  12. I threw my black on black one for over an hour Sunday with no takers. Hope that starts up here soon. I love catching them on a buzzbait
  13. I have the winch and like it. I haven't used the BPS rod but have heard they are pretty decent. I don't think you can go wrong either way. I think you can catch the BPS rod on sale for under 70 bucks if you are patient
  14. Take plenty of pictures and post them here ASAP so that the rest of us can drool over the new items!!
  15. Check out Jewel Bait the Rock Carolina rig football weights. They have them for sale at TW. I also saw them at a local store last night.
  16. Sporting Kansas City Soccer!!! MLS Champs 2013!!
  17. How many are going to come in the pack? Summer craw is one of my favorite colors to use.
  18. Happy Birthday Mike!!
  19. I bought some VMC flipping hooks last season but never got around to using them. They seem to be pretty decent.
  20. Be careful if you take them out of the package and put in a plano box.. They will NOT lay down no matter what you do!!! I have some of them that I plan on using this year along with some of the regular round heads with the screw lock. This will be my first year really using this technique.
  21. I use EWG hooks for all of my flipping and pitching. I would probably use a big stout flipping hook if I was punching mats or something.
  22. In my father in laws boat he runs a Minn Kota maxxum trolling motor and we both like it a lot. I have never fished in a boat with a Motorguide. I am sure with all the pro's I see with them on their boats they have to be pretty good. Pick one and I am sure you will be happy.
  23. I am quite fond of the Abu Garcia Veritas rod and a Lews speed spool reel. Both can be found for less than $100.00 each most places.
  24. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/128969-seaguar-invizx-vs-abrazx/ Here is a thread started a few days ago regarding pretty much the same thing. I am trying invizx for the first time this year. I am planning on using 12lb and 17lb.
