  1. I think that sounds like a pretty good idea. Try it out and let us know how it does for ya.
  2. I just picked up 2 of the cranks and can't wait for it to warm up enough to head back out.
  3. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/108475-little-fish-or-skunked/?hl=quantity Here is a thread that RW started awhile back. It is along the same line as this.
  4. I fish for fun. Throw all the dinks my way.
  5. I think it is a 3 year limited warranty. I have 4 of them and have nothing but good things to say about them. I do check all the guides before purchasing after reading threads on here.
  6. I have a lot of luck fishing a black spinnerbait with a big black colorado blade on it.
  7. Congrats to your wife on a great fish!! Sounds like you guys had a good time!!
  8. So how did everyone do today? I really wish I could have made it this time
  9. I actually went to the doctor earlier this week for the exact same thing. Mine started on my upper chest then moved up to my neck. I seem to get this about every 2 years or so. My doctor prescribes a medicine named Nizoral or the generic version is call ketoconozole. It is a pill that you take once a day for 5 days. It is usually cleared up before the 5th day. Kyle
  10. I tend to use 1/4 oz. more than others.
  11. Whats the best time of year to throw these? I might pick up a few to try but don't want to buy a bunch and not be able to properly use them for a long time. thanks
  12. Re-read this out loud. Check for grammar and spelling errors. Also make sure you capitalize the state and the name of the lake. These are just a few things to redo. I am sure you will get a few other pointers from other members as well.
  13. I like fishing frogs or texas rigged soft plastics on a 7.1:1 most of the time. It helps you pick up the slack to set the hook a little faster. The 6.4:1 will work too, but I mostly use those for moving baits, spinnerbaits topwater with treble hooks. Then the 5.4:1 ratios I use for crankbaits.
  14. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12981-how-do-i-remove-a-hook-a-bass-has-swallowed/page-2 this thread has a good way to remove deep hooked fish
  15. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-boats/ here are a bunch of articles on boats.
  16. 50lb Power Pro has been working really well for me. I use it for frogs, jigs and heavier t-rigs. I might bump it up if I was fishing say in Florida punching mats all day though.
  17. With the round ones your line has a chance of getting caught in the groove for threading it on the bait. With the oval ones the line is always on the ends where it can't get in that groove.
  18. I use snaps for all my crankbaits and I just snap iit into the split ring on the front. Haven't had any issues to make me change.
  19. I am doing the same thing this year. I have no confidence in them but am keeping one tied on at all times. So far I have been out 2 times with no luck but I am not giving up. Good luck to you!!
  20. On my father in law's boat once it is plugged in the compartment gets shut. Haven't had any issues with anything.
  21. This is the way I am going to try when I rig one up. It seems pretty simple
  22. I have a lot of landscaping bricks around my yard that i just turn over and pick up the worms that were hiding underneath them. We usually can get enough to have a short but fun day at grandpa's pond.
  23. I think for now anyways it is going to be for spinnerbaits and some topwater baits. Jerkbaits might be good too!!!
  24. I haven't put a reel on mine yet. I didn't care for the way the trigger felt on last years model. The reel seat on the new one feels like the ones on my Veritas rods. Just more comfortable to me. Can't wait to test it out this weekend!! What are you going to use yours for?
  25. That is last years model. Still a good rod for the price.
