I love the Cavitron buzzbaits. I lost mine last weekend on a decent sized fish. Came home and placed an order through Megastrike and had 2 of them here by Wednesday. Can't beat that for service!!!!

You could always bring it up and see how they respond, but until you fish the boater side of it you are stuck with what they fish. Just be glad it wasn't a sight fishing tourney.....

I can't speak for the PQ, but I have a Lews cranking reel and love it. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

I can't really name any in your area. There is one in Missouri at the college I went to. They didn't have a fishing team while I was there. They are sponsored by Tightlines, which happens to be in their hometown. I would google some colleges in your area and see what they have to offer. Just worry about being a kid right now. Learn as much as you can from here and in books so you will be prepared when your time comes up.

First off ask yourself this.. What can you do for the company? I see in your profile that you are really young still. I doubt at your age you can offer the company enough for them to sponsor you. How do you plan on promoting this company? Facebook, local tourneys and your buddies won't be enough to get you sponsored. Get good grades in school and get into a good rcollege with a fishing team. Win some tourneys at that level will get you noticed. Keep it up and you may get you a sponsor. Good luck!

I think a 7ft. MH rod will work for just about everything.

I have come to a conclusion that my father in law and I flat out suck at fishing. We fished at Smithville Lake today from 5:00-12:00 and managed to boat a grand total of 2 freaking fish. I caught them both. One on a swim jig and the other on a black & blue crawdad. We threw everything in our tackle boxes, fishing shallow and deep. I am very frustrated with fishing at this point. Almost ready to just quit for awhile.

I use the live target frogs but plan on picking up some spro frogs this year to get a few colors not offered by live target.

I don't know what it is suppose to do but I will be stocking up on those!! Looks awesome!!

Are you sure that the fish have it all in their mouth and not just part of it? I use the same style of hook, but gamakatsu brand. I find that if i just reel in the slack line and pull into the fish I have a better hook up ratio. I think if you try to do a normal hard hookset it is just blowing it out of their mouth. I use mine on a 7' M power spinning rod with 6lb Yo zuri hybrid line.

I like the Live Target frog right now but plan to pick up a few Spro ones soon.

Check out the new Strike King S11 glasses. They are pretty amazing for the price. I picked up a pair with the amber lenses and love them.

Decided to hit up some farm ponds with a buddy this weekend. He told me that they don't get much fishing pressure so we should be able to catch a bunch.

Anybody in the KC area going fishing this weekend and have an empty back seat? It doesn't matter to me where, I just want to catch some fish. Smallmouth bass would be a bonus too!!! The last few times I have been out we catch maybe 3-4 fish.. its getting old. Pm me if you are going and have a spot available. Thanks Kyle

Nice job as usual Clayton. I have never had a double, I imagine it is pretty cool. On another note how is Melvern at this time of year? I am wanting to head out there this weekend if the weather cooperates. It is free fishing weekend so I get to fish without purchasing a KS license.

I plan on trying this out this year.

I have 3 of the Lew's speed spools and love them. Haven't tried any of the others.
