  2. yeah i had the same problem with the blade not hitting the body & i had to keep bending it down....it really made me wish it was titanium but i was anticipating a bass slamming it on every cast so i dealt with it
  3. i found this guy on ebay last year & was very impressed with the eager beaver lure he makes...ive caught a ton of bass with them..they are made with high quality plastics & they have a "stink" to them like nothing else....im not affiliated with them in any way, i just thought id give a compliment to a good lure ....
  4. in my opinion, there is no better worm than a 6" pumpkin chartreuse power worm... not counting a senko of course
  5. well i purchased a honeybuzz buzzbait over the winter & finally threw it yesterday & WOW!!! this thing is the loudest buzzbait i ever used...i used to swear by lunker lures brand but i have seen the light...i caught a few fish in an hours time, but i had a ton a bass chase it.... thank you lightninrod for hyping this up in response to someones post a while back ONE QUESTION:: has anyone used the new designed ones???? are they better than the original??
  6. HAHAHAHA ;D ;D ;D dont forget the effects of the flux capacitor & the trajectory of the suns rays on the lure too
  7. everybodys right about the split ring pliers.....i used my fingernails or a small screwdriver for the longest time, but i recently got the pliers & it makes it very easy.......the bass pro ones links-man2 posted are what i got & they do the job
  8. one suggestion i can make is to use a smaller spinnerbait....i usually use a 1/8 oz. & dont be afraid to throw it in the thick stuff...
  9. look like strike king tubes to me 8-) if you dont know how to texas rig, look for an article on the site somewhere because youll want to texas rig these
  10. i owned them a few years back, but i kinda view them as a gimmick...i like a standard spinnerbait much better....try one out & see if YOU like it though
  11. i noticed bass pro has all the berkley frenzy lures clearanced..i wonder if this has something to do with it????
  12. that magic eraser is truly magic....i use that for a 100 different things & its great.ill have to try it on the rods now
  13. im not a master pickeral fisherman, but ive done my fair share of cathing them over the years...my 2 favorite lures are a jitterbug for topwater & a 4" grub on a 2 or 3/0 hook...theyll kill a grub every time if its moving fast
  14. im sold on shimano spinning reels, but i dont own one of their baitcasters....i chose a daiwa viento over the curado mainly because of the external brake adjustment..i do not like the centrifugal setups & thats all shimano offers.
  15. sounds like a new mtv show pimp my reel ;D ;D ;D i cant wait to see the pics....
  16. i agree with the st. croix avid AS66MF..its a great rod.i paired mine with a shimano symetre reel & love the setup..i dont have any complaints at all. i got my rod from reeds & they offer free shipping http://www.reedssports.com/Product.taf?_function=detail&_ID=659 youll even have a few bucks left over for more lures!!!!! ;D
  17. MY FAVORITE CHEAP LURE IS A $1.59 STRIKE KING "PROMO"SPINNERBAIT...ITS MY FAVORITE SPINNERBAIT & IVE CAUGHT A TON OF BASS ON THEM
  18. i think its a must unless the bass are crushing your lure....even then,it cant be a bad thing to have an extra hook to better your chances

i use a tackle logic wrap...it takes up a little less space in my bag than a plano type box
  20. ive had my eye on them but havent broke down & bought them yet...but i will
  21. i found this on my space & thought id share...they really will stoop to any level to push their views http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/iclk?sa=l&ai=BF2AIhMb5RZuHMZ_yggOCo-yxBrLUkwj-0vaqAcCNtwHQhgMQAhgCIIfI_wUoBDAAOABQqfzh7fv_____AWDJnvSKtKTkD5gBqteCAqAB2t2r_wOqATtmaW1fbXlzcGFjZV9wcm9maWxlX3VzZXItaG9tZXBhZ2UrZmltX215c3BhY2VfdW5pdGVkLXN0YXRlc7IBEGhvbWUubXlzcGFjZS5jb23IAQHaATFodHRwOi8vaG9tZS5teXNwYWNlLmNvbS9pbmRleC5jZm0_ZnVzZWFjdGlvbj11c2VygAIBqAMBwAMN&num=2&adurl=http://www.fishinghurts.com/feat-dogfish.asp%3Fc%3D1509&client=ca-fim_myspace_profile_js
  22. i placed my first order with them a couple weeks ago & im sold on them....they accept paypal too which is sweeet!!!!!
  23. i use 3/0 wide gap gamakatsu for almost all soft plastics...i personally wouldnt go smaller than that ,but larger 4/0 or 5/0 i would for certain baits..........
  24. i found these same tubes in the dicks clearance bin for .47 cents a bag...theyre not bad but i havent used them enough to give a great review that cabelas ad is confusing because it doesnt clearly say 72 bags, but it has to be ....
