  1. i think all the chatterbait type jigs have a split ring...i have a couple gamblers & their good ,but i think most brands are comparable
  2. you will love the symetre....once you feel it in your hand it will be your favorite spinning reel ....good choice
  3. dude, your a geezer!!!!! the first step is to admit you have an addiction.... :'( im a tackle junkie too, so im right there with ya ;D ;D ;D
  4. i guess it depends on the people working their & if their fisherman or not...beleive it or not, mike iacconelli worked at the dicks that i shop at..he worked their for a long time too & was allowed to make the orders for the department...it was great because he always knew what was IN or the new lures out......................
  5. swindle really gets on my nerves.....i think he tries to act like iaconelli too hard with the screaming & yelling when he boats a fish...im watching him be interviewed right now & hes comparing what he did to nascar racing..... he made a mistake, but he should have known better..........
  6. i use the same tecnique but with a creme scoundrel worm & always catch fish ....if the fish arent killing other lures, i go right for this setup
  7. i saw these in bass pro & they look awesome.!!!!!!!! myquestion is.............. is this a wooden lure or is it plastic???????
  8. ST. CRIOX.........get an avid series if you can & you wont be sorry NOW QUICK SHUT THIS POST DOWN BEFORE THE G-LOOMIS POSSE SHOWS UP HAHAHAHAHA ;D ;D ;D
  9. thats a very cool design.....its new to me & i may try to make a few of my owm..in my opinion theres nothing better than a plastic blade on a buzzbait
  10. just wanted to let everyone know that the glen lau collection is now available on dvd!!!!!! i got mine in the mail today & i love it. the only catch is you have to buy the complete set($69.99) but its well worth it in my opinion. if your interested go to http://www.questforadventure.com/ & call the # on the bottom of the page. ;D ;D ;D
  11. what did you pay for it? it looks cool, but i dont know if their good or not
  12. i buy from ebay exclusively.....the key is to buy from a person selling the item & not some big store mass listing stuff...some ebay stores are good deals but the majority of them jack up the shipping to break even.... example: shimano symetre retail $80-$90.......i paid $62 plus $6 shipping daiwa viento retail$199 .......i paid $150 + $10 shipping you can find deals, but your just not gonna get a gloomis rod for $10 or something crazy like that
  13. i strictly buy aluminum or better reels NOW,but i must say i have 2 older quantum ex501cx model baitcasters that i love!!! ive used them hard for at least 7 years without any problems....i dont catch 10lb bass but i do get my fair share of 3, 4 & 5 pounders.i definately wouldnt reccomend a graphite spool on anything though
  14. i purchased a pinnacle lucille last year & have used it a good bit...its o.k but for some reason it feel "cheap" compared to my shimano symetre...it performs good & it isnt cheaply made, but it doesnt have that SOLID feel that i expected when i ordered it. im not knocking it in any way because i do like it...i just dont know if id buy another one or not
  15. i have the same rod & i couldnt agree more
  16. i can vouch for the undulator 100 %....it does work & catch fish.....it gives off a different vibration than a normal spinnerbait blade... i wouldnt say i do any better with it than a normal spinnerbait though
  17. i walk the dog at a pretty fast pace...if their missing it or coming up short, ill pause it for a bit in between..... the spit'n'image is one of my favorite lures because you can catch fish with it no matter how you fish it
  18. im a timber doodle fan too.... ;D ;D i think mister twister still makes them..i rig them with a soft plastic frog on the back & its deadly around lilly pads
  19. i use silver thread excaliber almost exclusively & have yet to find a line i like better....its a matter of personal preference but im sure youll like it
  20. i recently picked up a shaw grigsby tackle bag from dicks sporting goods....its huge & holds 6 plano boxes & a few tackle logic bags. i dont like shaw grigsby, but i like his bag
  21. i use the palomar 100% of the & it never fails me....
  22. ive used quite a few of their lures & they all worked great for me.....ive got a great story about getting something :-X :-X across the canadian border in a chompers bag.... but i wont get into that :-X
  23. i used to fish at a place & every day there were about 15 chinese guys catching & keeping everything...we called them the bucket brigade....the problem is ,unless a game warden is there every day theyre gonna get away with it most of the time
  24. i own a couple bionic blades too & i would definately recommend them
  25. well the only good thing i see is that the bass here in jersey will get bigger like those bass down south.... ;D ;D ;D seriously, with warmer winters & overall warmer weather i dont see how fishing will be hurt by it....although there is always two sides to a story
