I'm also new to baitcasting this year. One thing I found is that if you force your cast, you will get a backlash. If the cast doesn't feel natural to you then it's wrong. I'm no expert, still learning but that's one thing I have found to help me avoid a backlash.

Let's see....I gave my wife a hard time ;D. No for real I gave her some smell good stuff, she was about out of all the ones she liked so she now has another year supply! Some candles and stuff. Kids got SPOILED (as it should be) They got one of everything I think, RC monster trucks, video games, Star Wars stuff. My oldest got one of thoes FLY pens that knows what you write and helps you with your home work, and stuff. Both got MP3 Video players. GEZZZ no wonder why I'm broke! I got a 10 in compound miter saw! and a wind up mantle clock!!! I've wanted a wind up clock ever since I was a little feller! It so cool hearing it chime all day. But would you believe I didn't get a single fishing item. NOT EVEN ONE. I must have been bad this year!

I use it and love it. Dunno about being "invisable", I'm not in the water! LOL ;D I find it to be VARY strong and it holds a knot like nobodys buisness when you snag and can't get it unhooked!
