Brake Fluid For Surge Brake
I cut the metal brake line on my trailer surge brake. The reservoir doesn't say what Fluid it takes. Is it just regular dot3 brake fluid?

Your first fishing boat
Had a 10ft Jon boat with a small Minn kota. My girlfriend (now wife) lived in a lake community. We would pick it up at her parents house after school and strap it down to the top of my chevette to get it to the lake. 8-) Had $300 in the boat ,motor and car.

Best Bass Boat out there now
Understatement of the year. yeah they are all pain in the rears , but what would do without them I can settle all this right now. Best boat: 97 Triton tr21 Now let's talk about something completely new that has never been discussed on this board. Who do you think makes the best reel?

when do you put your winch strap on
Was wondering how those with bass boats do there winch straps. Do you winch it down in the water or run the boat up to the stop and do it in the parking lot.

blinker style trim tilt
I have a 97 mariner magnum 225 efi with a Quicksilver 3000 throttle. My trim tilt works fine at the bow and on the motor. I can get the one on the throttle to work if I push on the back of the switch. My question is if I get a blinker style one can I just run the wiring up to the bow trim tilt switch and splice in there ? If not how do you wire these things?

Sharing Expenses
My partner and I split everything. Half the boat gas and half the truck gas. He buys ice. WE drive at least an hour and half each way to Lake of the Ozarks or Truman. If he drives my truck down I buy him doughnuts and coffee. We split all winnings 50/50

Changes to post season for B.A.S.S.
Good point but we can argue if bcs is even postseason. What a joke that is.

Changes to post season for B.A.S.S.
Okay, I agree this is basically an all star game. But with only 8 real events that means 20% of your events are all star games. Why not at least add another real tournament and then do a four day braketed all star event. That way the top 12 in points and 4 wildcard fish a single all star event. Doesn't this make way more sense?

Changes to post season for B.A.S.S.
Yeah I think the setup is cool but what other sports postseason is a popularity contest to get in.

PreTournamnet Jitters
I get all jacked up the night before but then as we get on the water before launch I settle down and just go fishing.

hp-speed
K thanks guys. I hate to give up the HP. But the lake is 3 minutes from my house. It's 150 acres and has a lot of nice bass in it. It's a great place to go during the week cuz lake of the Ozarks and Truman that I fish every weekend are 1 1/2 and 2 hours away. I have 2 other 1000 acre lakes here in town as well but they don't have the same quality of bass the other does. I'm gonna be jumping from a heavy 1985 fiberglass bass tracker with a 90 HP so I'm sure even the 175 holeshot will seem awesome to me.

hp-speed
There is a lake by my house with a 190hp limit. So I'm considering getting a 175 horse. What kind of speed w difference would I see on a 19ft bas boat between a 175 and a 200

Any Pomme de Terre reports?
Fished my clubs 2 day classic this weekend. We finished third fishing mostly bluff with wood in the lindley arm. We caught 15.15 lbs on Saturday and we had at least 14 of that in the first hour on a spinnerbait. On Sunday the wind spun around and our bluff was slick. We got a small limit by 10 but couldn't upgrade much. Only weighed 8.91 and missed 2nd by 2oz > The guys that one killed them they had 17 Saturday and 21 on sunday . They fished shallow in Pomme arm they said.

any feedback on a charger 295 bass boat
thanks cart, Its got a 200 so surely it wil still hit 60 right? I fish ozarks alot so i'd rather have stable ride than flat out speed. I dont know i may run down and look at it is in tulsa. You think i could do better for $9000?

BIG BASS BASH LOZ
Well I didn't win it but I did get sixth the first two hours Saturday and won $600. Also weighed one that was 3.03 I thought I was gonna get the exact weight money for a minute there. Spent the majority of Saturday afternoon at the hospital. My partner buried a rc 2.5 hook in his hand.

Any Pomme de Terre reports?
Any shad colors right now. Norman Fatboy, Lucky RC2.5, Mann's 1-minus etc (basically any square bill) My partner accidentally caught a big muskie while flipping docks last weekend. Those docks are on dry land by now though. Just an FYI for all you guys be careful navigating while this water is so low. Last weekend I found 2 stumps IN THE CHANNEL on the Pomme arm down around Fugat and Twin Coves. Ditto that I saw the one down by fugat. Puckered my butthole right up

Any Pomme de Terre reports?
I was down this past weekend (Sept 24,25,26) and we tore 'em up. My buddy and I each caught our limit Friday night, Sat morning, Sat night, and Sunday morning. The hot bite was square bill crank baits or spinnerbaits around stumps in 1-5 feet. When that bite slowed we hit the same areas with Zoom trick worms. The key to finding these fish now that the lake is WAY down is finding a cove with stumps from the bank to the middle of the cove or concentrate on bluffs where they can move up and down in depth quickly. Try getting parallel to the bluff banks with spinnerbaits and hold on. Spots that are hot right now: Coves with stumps. On the Pomme Arm think Fugat, Big Hollow, Coopers, etc. tkite I'm sorry to hear you were having trouble getting on keepers but let me tell you Pomme is definitely on the comeback. 2-3 years ago every fish you would catch would be 12-12.5 inches. This year 56% of my fish caught are keepers (yes I keep a log I'm a geek). That's pretty much how we caught ours. We caught all 3 keepers and about 20 others from 7-830 Saturday morning then it just died for us . We caught maybe 5 more shorts from then till 3 o'clock. Oh well big bass bash this weekend then ill get back to worrying about Pomme. Did find some nice looking stuff on points that are out of the water for the future.
