  1. Pretty impressive, Missouri's state record smallmouth is 7lbs 2 oz
  2. 1)Late April at Lake of the Ozarks in the back of a cove pitchin to a dock that is full of brush with a gravel bank and a jewel jig . 1a) Standing on low water bridge on big river at Leadwood Missouri catchin smallmouth. 8-)
  3. I look at these threads where someone asks what reel they should buy on here. I always personally say the Revo is the best choice other choose a Shimano or Diawa or whatever other brand. But lets just say you had to go right now and buy one reel to use from now on. The only thing is all you can do is lubricate it. When something breaks on this reel you have to quit fishing forever. In other words what reel do you consider bulletproof. I vote 4600
  4. At the moment I need 14 but Bass Pros spring classic is coming up so who knows what I'll need that week
  5. April of 1992 on a purple culprit worm. 7 lbs 6 oz
  6. I've got 5 bass pro shops and a cabelas within 2 1/2 hours of me so i dont have to order much . Bad part is driving by bass pro on the way to and from work everyday. I dont have a bait monkey I got bait king kong.
  7. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of hooks Lucky Craft uses for RC series of crankbaits?
  8. Never understood why mg put the skeg so far back that transducer has no protection. Whenever I look at mg owners transducers there always beat to hell. I have a minn kota . I cant say its better but I've had no problems.
  9. They are pulling water pretty hard out of the lake right now. if they keep it up you better know where some docks are in deeper water with brushpiles in front of them. The ones behind the dock cables are out of the water right now. Also try where the bluffs go to chuck rock entering coves.
  10. <-------------<<< 12 1/2 feet over 350 lbs. Largemouth 7lbs 6 oz Smallmouth 3lbs 13 oz Channel Cat 9lbs Most dissapointing- Marlin that jumped one time and spit lure at me
  11. I fell in Table Rock lake this summer. I landed on a submerged cedar tree that cut my leg up pretty bad. I couldn't get myself back in the boat till I stood on my hydrofoil and used trim tilt to raise me back up into the boat.
  12. My favorite jig. Match it with the biggest craw trailer you can find and drop it in a brush pile under a boat dock on Lake of the Ozarks and hold on.
  13. Eakins Jewel Jigs for me
  14. I was wondering how you all feel about the Lucky Craft RC series of crankbaits with the round diving bill instead of the square bill. If you use them are you confident in the them . Is there another 8-15 foot diving crankbait that you have more confidence in. I love my RC square bills but when I put on a deeper diving bait I always bypass the RC's.
  15. I always wear mine now. This summer on table rock lake I had my right foot on the trolling motor looking back at my fishfinder on the cockpit and spinning the boat to the left. I hit an underwater cedar tree that stopped the boat in a hurry. Next thing I know I'm in the water. I crashed through the tree when I fell in and it cut me all up. It cut my face a little but it got my shouder and leg real bad. It was real hard to pull myself back in the boat. I didnt have a lifejacket on and was actualy a little worried for a minute. I finally remembered seeing somewhere you could use the trim tilt and hydrofoil to get out of the water and thats what i did. When I went to get my sospenders after that I made sure to get auto inflate because it could have very easily knocked me out. On the funny side I swam to the back of the boat and when I tried to pul myself up out of the water . It turned on my autobilge which shot me right in the face. >
  16. I'll say REvo cause i use at Garcia but seriously at 200 shimano, diawa, garcia or ardent you cant really go wriong.
  17. We had two guys here in Missouri back in the early 90's who got caught. There was a pretty big club around 150 boats that had weekly tournaments on Lake Wappapello . Anyway a guy is fishing a crankbait on friday and hooks a steel cage . He goes over to undo his lure and realizes there is 3 3lb bass in it. He calls the water patrol and they set up cameras and sure enough SAturday morning two guys fishing the tournament come pick up those fish. There boat took a little beating after the cops hauled them away in the middle of the weigh in. 8-)
  18. That is very well said Alpster ,and remember folks Abu Garcia makes reels from $50-250. :) ;D
  19. I put one on my 85 bass tracker fiberglass boat by myself with no problem. I see no downside to them.
  20. That would be a nice start early in the morning in a tournament. Sure takes that getting skunked pressure off.
  21. Yes the lake is still 14 1/2 feet high and the water is clearing. Its not too high to fish . They are spawning but hard to get to. The trees on the orginal bank are sitting in 14 foot of water so you cant really get to them spawning except in a few small pockets which are being hammered. Last i heard they were gonna hold the lake up til sometime in July. Bull shoals is still so high there is no where for the water to go.
  22. I used to work in a AC Delco battery plant. Sounds like you got a short and it caught on fire. Yer lucky it didnt burn up your boat. WE had two tables of batteries charging with around 650 on each table burn up because 1 battery shorted out and caught them all on fire.
  23. Take a look at all those fsn sports channels cart7 they show some different fishing shows than outdoor channel or versus.
