Man we went down yesterday to start prefishing for our classic at the the end of October. It was tough, we only caught 3 keepers in 8 hours(glad to see all those 12 1/2 inchers that they said said would be 13 this year grew about 1/8th of an inch. Hopefully when it gets down and stabilizes it will get better for me.

I am stay out of gravois. The whole creek is mine I called it first.

I have a johnny morris reel. The silver one that is 109 now I think it is. It is a very smooth casting reel but it doesn't do real well with light baits compared to my revo s reels. The cranking stick is pretty solid but man it seems to wear me out quick. I just picked up a quantum pt energy that I hope will replace the cranking stick for my big cranks. As for JM vs GLX. Not even close and yes I've owned one.

Nope no adjustment. Fill it with braid and yank them out.

I know you can still use it once . But in the back of my mind as I've shelled out 250-400 for 14 imx and glx rods in the past I could tell myself I have this rod for life. So I'll at least look at other companys stuff in the future. This will definitely make me look at custom rod builders stuff too. I think this will hurt them. Hell I almost got their fishbone logo tattooed on my arm once before chickening out. If it makes me think of other companies I'm sure others will too.

It'd cost you double that if you did it today. It went up to $100 on 8/1/10, and you can only use it once per rod for life. Wow hadn't heard that. Guess I got lucky and got it in in time. I got one of these reels and just tried it out on lake of the ozarks. This reel is awesome. I have never used a reel that pitches as far and as smooth as this one. I wondered if I could make regular casts with it and it performed great. I used a small jewel eakins jig with zoom chunk and seriously I didn't pull line out 1 time for spool overrun all day that I can think of. Well done ardent. And made in America too. 8-) 8-)

Snapped my glx jig rod in my box door the other day. They sent me a new one for $50. I got nothing but love for gloomis.

Ha my first tournament was also at Wappapello. Went with a buddy from work in his 14 ft jon boat. We ran up the river a ways and ran out of gas coming back to the dock. A guy pulled us in and we ran it up on the bank and caught a ton of crappie till everyone came in. I still remember we passed 2 big bass boats buried in a mud flat throwing mud everywhere . ;D God i still hate that lake

Try sitting out 30-40 feet in front of a dock. Cast a worm or deep diving crankbait past both front corners. Fish are somewhere between the dock and your boat.

I have a tournament next week at Truman. We are takeing off in the dam area at State Park. I want to fish down in the Osage around the Berry Bend area. Has anyone made this run before? I have gps so if I run the channel I should be alright. Right? Heard lots of horror stories from Truman putting holes in boats and eating lower units up. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried lifting your motor to see if it is the problem. Mine looks just like that till i tilt the motor up just a bit.

I dont know. I had two rods break last last year and both were All STAR Spinnerbait series Zell Rowland Rods. Both made a funny noise and splintered between the end and 2nd eye. Id look at Falcon for similar money.

It always kills me to hear people compare certain batteries to each other. When I worked at Delphi battery plant we ran AC Delco,Sears Die Hard and Wal Mart everstart on the same line. Only differenct was the color of the case. But people would always say how much better there Die hard or AC Delco was. There are very few battery companies left you be surprised who all Excide builds batteries for.

Any have any experience good or bad with Maxima fishing line. Especially florocarbon or hybrid.

Let me know when they come out with one that will hold me on a main lake point at Table Rock sitting in 85 foot of water. Seriously they do look cool if you fish that kind of water.

Stay out of the Gravois arm. Nothing to see there. No fish in there at all just move along.

They have taken care of both problems I've ever had. I snapped my GLX jig rod in the boat hatch lid. I called and they told me about the $50 deal. Had my new rod very quickly My other problem I crushed the end eye somehow. I called and she said since the rod wasn't broken shed just send me a replacement eye. She sent me 10 of them. Think ill stick with them
