  1. Well Ive got a group of 10 boats from work together to go down to Lake Fork for a four day tournament and then going over to Nascar race (and Billy Bob's ) Anyway best I can figure bass will be pre-spawn ,spawn and post spawn. I plan on fishing from the creek mouths and working into the creeks . Also plan on fishing the west side of the lake. Does this sound like a good plan or what would you try?? Would love to get a guide but we dont have time this trip.
  2. I just finished doing the same to my boat . You'll love the deck extention. I made mine into a tackle locker. Once you get the floor back in it goes pretty quick. Here is before and after from mine http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1200504729/0
  3. Thanks guys ,now does anyone have a better option than wet sanding to bring back the shine??
  4. We'll me and a buddy from work spending at least 10 hours a day for about 15 days my boat is finally redone. I bought it for $2000 and had $4000 to spend so I knew i could redo it but I still went over . Mostly because I had dealer go threw the motor and change out and tune everything up. A little advice to someone thinking of buying older boat like mine. When the guy says it just has a little soft spot in the floor by the vent . Plan on tearing your boat down the very bottom and starting over. The whole floor in the bottom was rotted but luckily the transon was in great shape so I didnt have to meass with that. So we rewired whole boat ,all new gauges ,new steering wheel, built our own windshields, all new floor , built the tackle box in the middle where the old ski hole was,2 humminbird 595c's front and console, new seats, new aeroator and bilge. Well here is some before and after pics. Its a 1985 Bass Tracker ,first year they made fiberglass boats I believe. Before And after
  5. Woo Hoo your gettin me ready for March when season opens here in missouri. You all think throwing a crankbait all days wears you out. Try going after these monsters.
  6. Yeah it was pretty bad when he was talkin about not running a trolling motor it showed him almost fall in doing it. Have to add I just watched the second week and it was much more enjoyable.
  7. What About REVO's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Pretty boring actually. Kids just dont have the charisma and after one of the kids said it was first time he had ran a trolling motor I realized i wasnt gonna gain much from it.
  9. My fishing partner and I both work at General Motors directly accross from each other on the assembley line . We fish every Sunday and every Tuesday and Thursday evening after work. I dont have kids and his are grown and we both have super wives. So there is never a question of if we can go. My wife goes with me usually every other Saturday, we run down to Table Rock or Lake of the Ozarks and spend Friday nite and fish Saturday. She fishes half the time and reads half the time and never complains as long as the sun is out. And after all this is done my fishing buddy and I talk fishing on the line all day at work.
  10. Spending four days on Lake Fork in April so I'm hoping to get pb over 8 pounds. Also looking for a 4lb spot and smallmouth on Table Rock this year.
  11. I wouldn't consider myself handy and I easily did it. Would be a waste to pay someone to do it.
  12. We'll if you've never fished a lake you picked a dandy to start with. Table Rock is my favorite lake but the first 10 times i went there I never caught more than 1-2 bass. Then I went with someone who has knowledge of this lake and it all changed for me. Youcant just beat the banks on table rock, you gotta fish deep. Fish at table rock are aways deeper than you expect them to be. In summer look for bluff ends with timber on the points and the fish should be in the trees 30 foot deep. Also look for 30 foot deep flats on the map close to the original channel and drop shot em. If they arent in these two spots look deeper not shallower. You can catch some smallmouth shallow in the coves. But your best bet is spots in deep water. And the number 1 biggest secret to fishing table rock is GET A Guide!!!!!!
  13. A pack of 10 inch bright pink worms from my niece. And a wallet full of BPS gift cards .
  14. I have 19 rod and reel set-ups 3 revo s on hvy action All starrods(worms and jigs) 2 revo s on med hvy all star (spinnerbaits) 2 revo sx 1on med and 1 on med hvy all star rods(crankbaits) 2 revos stx on med All star rod(pointers and rogues) 2 4600 c3s med hvy all star (rat-l-traps) 1 ardent reel med hvy all star (topwaters) 3 Garcia spinning reels on all star rods (all finesse baits) 2 Garcia 101ul on all star ultra lites (crappie) 2 penn reels with eagle claw snaggin rods(snaggin spoonbill) This was never a problem till a few weeks ago when we were walking out through the garage to the car and she spun around and yelled holy crap. All my rods were out against the wall because were recarpeting my boat. There always in the boat so she had no idea what i had in there.
  15. Happened to me once ,my box of $40 Prov1 golf balls had a dozen $10 top Flites when I got home. >
  16. I know who wins too . I agree everyone else on the show has seemed like they genuinely like each other, but Claussen seems like a real a hole.
  17. I consider it a dink when I argue with myself the whole time I'm reeling it in as to whether it got off or not, only to see a fish the same size as the lure swinging there when I get it in the boat.
  18. Yeah thanks guys, I dont know what I was thinking . That part of the boat is probably out of the water on plane. If I mount in the hole down by the drain plug in the back of the boat I should be fine right?
  19. Hi guys I'm in the middle of redoing the carpet in my boat and I have it torn down to the very bottom of the boat in the middle where the ski hole used to be. It says to place the puck transducer for my depth finder in the bottom of the boat in the back. But I'm assuming they are not expecting me to be able to get to the bottom of the boat in the middle there. What do you think will it work as well mounted there or should I run it back to the back of the boat.
  20. I caught this one.
  21. Besides suspending jerkbaits ,crawdad wiggle warts are my favorite on table rock in the spring. Maybe because the water is so clear and it has a pretty small profile is why it works so well , but yeah it has as wide a wobble as any crankbait. Mostly use them on gravel banks for smallmouth. They seem to move up first out of the deep water. Table rock-Bull Shoals basically only have 2 seasons. Summer -Winter you dropshot on 35 foot deep flats where they feed and they suspend 35 feet deep in trees over 60-80 foot of water . Spring-Fall is more like a normal lake but they arent shallow near as long and there always near deep water. Its awesome to hook a spot dropshotting and when its 20 foot deep you can already see it flashing in the water.
  22. Ahh you got me all excited, snagging season is only 3 months away. You all havent lived till you stick a big treble hook into one these monsters. I'll have to scan my pictures and load them on here I hooked 3 one day 2 years ago, 20lbs ,68lbs and and my personal best 81 pounds. You basically use a broomstick(very very stiff rod) 3 size 14 treble hooks one pound sinker and 130 lb line. Then you just set the hook all day long in freezing cold temps . They run up the rivers out of Truman ,Table Rock and Lake of the Ozarks to spawn . It is definately an experience and they make some awesome steaks.
  23. I was wondering if anyone here uses this depth finder Humminbird HDR 610. I thought about mounting this in the bottom of the boat when I redo carpet over Christmas break. Just wondering if anyone has had luck getting accurate depth readings at say over 40 mph with it. That way I could keep my screen on full GPS and get depth with this. http://humminbird.factoryoutletstore.com/cat/1373/Humminbird-Depth-Sounders.html
  24. That is a lot of dough on LC RCs lol. The excuse I used was I havent been fishing this month and would have spent that on boat fuel.
