Instead of calling somebody you can just fish maybe the bass just aren't as active. I've noticed that in my private late I was pulling out 3 to 5# in there and the past few weeks nothing. Last big one was on 6/30... I know they didn't go anywhere I just think the weather has been too hot.
  3. Nice fish I saw your other post but there was no pic What state are you in?
  4. Use anything that might look appealing to bass I don't see why tube wouldn't work

  11. nice smallies man you always seem to have good trips
  12. can count it as a catch unless you have it in your hands out of the water Thats just my opinion anyway cuz if I saw a big fish in the water I can just say I caught it ha
  13. The pond by the ER at the hospital has bass in it. I caught a 2.5 and a 3 out of there. If you come up Bartrum and make a right onto race track and then make a left at the first light there is a pond on your right hand side that has some bass in it. It is small but I have pulled out a couple 2 pounders in there. If you keep going up that road you will see another pond on your right hand side that is next to a park, i think there is tennis courts or something there I forget. I fished it only twice and had a few missed strikes so I know there are fish in there. Then if you keep going there is a huge lake on the left. That lake has some monster fish this guy was telling me but 1. It is over fished and 2. He said you need a boat to get to where they are at. (I am in the process of getting a jon boat trying to find a decent one on craigs list). He told me that he was there with his kids fishing on Saturday and Sunday and he saw some guys catch 5, 7, 8, and 10 pounders in there.... and he said (s) as in more than one he made sure I understood that. The biggest I pulled out of there was a 4. I saw a big ass water moccasin there too thing looked like an anaconda. So if you don't make that left at the light on race track and you go to the next one (Veterans Parkway, I live off that one) there is a pond on your left hand side. Again the biggest I got out of that one was a 4lb, and that pond seems to be more active in the evening. If you go to the Publix that is on race track road there is a lake behind it that has some fish in it. There are tons of other small ponds around this area that hold fish if you have google earth on your phone you can scout em out while driving in the area, thats what I usually do. I hope you have luck man in the ponds around here cuz I was pulling in big fish left and right earlier in the season and the last big fish I caught was 4+lbs and that was on June 30th! (you know it is bad when I know the exact date that I caught my last big fish) Ever since then it has been nothing but small fish and the biggest I got was 2 something.

As far as manasquan Resivour goes the shore fishing isn't that great but the pier part isn't bad if there isnt a lot of people around it. Also if you go to the side where the boats go and you fish from the furthest boat dock from the building I've caught some nice ones there. If you rent a boat again go to where the pier is and directly across from it you will see trees in the water go I've there. I pulled out 6 fish in a hour all over 3lbs in that area. Also if you are on the pier and and are looking straight out so your back is to the parkin lot directly across from there, on other side of Resivour so u need a boat obviously, I saw a bunch of big fish in the shallow parts chasing shiners and bluegills. Finally spot is by the rocks on the far end of Resivour, again if u r on the pier and your back is facin parking lot it is to your left. There is a main road that people fish from and there are a bunch of trees in the water. That spot is known for big fish bass, pickerel, and Muskie. So if you are renting a boat go early and spend the day because it will take you a while to get to all those spots and fish them. Let me know if you try out any of these spots. (if you go to the spot at New Jersey Natural Gas be careful because that spot has a lot of snakes, that's y I think the fish are so big there and they are really aggressive. People say thAt there are no water moccasins in Nj but they got em there and I've seen some at the Resivour too)

No the pond is on route 34 heading towards wawa. It is the light before wawa you have to take a jug handle so you can make that left. Then u go down the road I think it's wychoff and there is a New Jersey Natural Gas building and you turn into the parking lot and the pond is on the right. They have huge bass and pickerel in there I'm not sure if you are allowed to fish there so I usually went later like after 6. As far as Spring Lake if you fish the cove that is closer to the town side I've caught nice ones over there by the lilly pads. And if you go by the bridge that is closer to the fire house and go on the other side opposite of the Lilly pads and caste into the pads that's where I've caught nice ones and the guy caught the 6lb. Also the cove in that end has nice ones too those are the only spots where I've had success. If you ever in Bradley take main street from Belmar and once you get into Bradley beach you will see a pond on your right that have some monsters in it. Me and my friend would go around 530, 6 and get some nice 3+ pounders consistently and I caught a 5lb in there once.
  20. They need to hire that shark at Sea World

I forgot about Spring Lake I never caught anything over 2 pounds there. I saw a guy pull out a 6 pounder which is a monster in NJ

Nice fish man I use to live in Manasquan but moved to Florida... fishing here in FL is like night and day to NJ. The biggest fish in NJ is the smallest fish I caught here. Where were you fishing? I would always fish in Wall, 2 lakes in Bradley Beach, and a couple lakes on Rt. 34 over by the Wawa, and at the Manasquan Resivour.
  23. Went out today with pondslayer and lookinoji at one of their spots and caught 13 between us. I only got 2, lookinoji got 5, and pondslayer got 6. Nothing too big though I think pond had the biggest at 3 something. The two I caught were 2. And I think the biggest lookinoji had was 2. I left before them at dark so they probably caught more. Thanks for showing me a new spot guys I had fun
