  1. Guess who is in the house ..Its the Lake Nunya clan coming in sunday to friday to try to whoop up on some Texas bass..reserved our room at something called the sportsman place..I called where everyone was staying and they gave us this place..Craigaria,Jason and myself will be fishing out of his boat..Where can we get some pointers on what to throw.lol..rattletraps,rattletraps,buzzbaits,buzzbaits,spotremovers with crawfish lures..any other suggestions
  2. Once again the argument continues.. ;D>>i live in Georgia, and certainly being an avid bassfisherman I did some research on ole perry..I dont think that this guys would lie about this...But it is awesome that all these years we have had a number to shoot for..Not trying to open up a can of worms, but once again lets face it, if every warm weather lake shoveled in the trout that is done in these lakes, they should be bigger..I would like to see Lake Varner loaded up with trout..That would be interesting..
  3. Got a question..I have three 80lb thrust trolling motors on the back of my 17ft tracker for all electric lakes..I am going around 5mp with all three..I am running a total of 6 batteries for these..Does it make more sense to get the briggs and stratton electric motor with four batteries or should I just keep these motors..I am kind of torn..The trail we fish has about 3 lakes you can use a 9.9 hp outboard, so I am debating on getting the 9.9 and keeping trolling motors or selling trolling motors and using briggs on all the lakes..Need some advice on this..Ryan
  4. Missed my goal by 4lbs >..Said I wanted to break my record and get a 13lber..I am going to pull my bet back and go for 11lber this year..still think it will be before thunderstorm..
  5. I had a kinda of crazy year in that I moved to a 200 acre lake and within ten minutes of Varner and I did not catch one bass over ten this year..I feel that I am a better angler now in that I caught my biggest this year on a buzzbait..9.4..caught a 8.8 on methalyde trick worm on spot remover, caught two 8.2 and 8.6 on white flatmax crankbait 6 foot runner, caught one 8lber on rattletrap in green color, caught several 7lbers and bunch over 5lbs..I caught my first fish on a jig,5.7lbs..Learned a ton of different techniques..This year I am going to finish in the top five of the jonboat club I fish in..
  6. Sorry I missed the excitement..Craigaria and I found a new honey hole today and we cant wait until the spring..It is awesome we all came to the defense of this site because I have searched many but I have found a home full of information that is very informative and in the last year has made me a better fisherman..Thanks again Glenn and Mods for keeping this site the best it can be..Buzz
  7. 13lbs to break my 12lb record.. ;D...We need a fishing forum for the Hawg of Fame..The only post you can put in it is 10lbs plus fish, with time of day, lure caught, water depth, temperature, rising or falling barometer and other details..This would be a great way for us to put or heads together to catch big fish..
  8. I just bought a yum sweet something swim bait.. They are 5 inches long..Im curious do you swim it at a steady retrieve or do you yo yo stop and go or what..Thanks for the responses so far..
  9. Alright you Cali guys, I need some advice on the swim baits you guys throw..First off I know your conditions may be a little different since I live in Georgia, but I am curious about these baits..What conditions, time of the year, baitcasters, line, rods, presentation of the lure do you guys fish..Any advice would be appreciated.. Also for drop shotting what conditions and when do you like to throw this technique..
  10. Yeah I drop him off from fishing for real yesterday and he hadnt had enough he played a video game for hours last nite.. ;D..The man is a addict..lol
  11. Lake Nunya can be off the hook sometimes

  13. maybe got whacked with trolling motor at young age
  14. A cold and rainy day on the water is better than a good day at work.. ;D..sometimes I miss those spots..
  15. Trust me..Fluke knows where lake Nunya is ..Fluke has fished with me quite a bit there..I met Fluke off this website last year and we have become pretty good friends..He has stayed with me quite a bit..That is saying volumes about what this site is about..not only do you get to learn alot about bass fishing but you really get to meet some quality people..
  16. Me and my graphs first fish..lol
  17. This is what really made this weekend special..This is my best catch ever..
  18. Man had an awesome x-mas with the in-laws as they were here all weekend..They get here Saturday, Tom and I were going to hit the water..He decides he wants to take me to BPS because he had heard I wanted a pair of frog toggs..As we are going I tell him Im gonna buy a lowrance 332 gps graph for my boat..We walk in and lo and behold he gets one and I have no clue what is going on..We get back to the truck and He hands me this..Im shocked and dont know what to say...We get home we go fish and unfortunately Tom doesnt catch any fish but I manage to catch four this descent fish Tom is holding...After my little boy Russell has an awesome time, that is him in the second picture I go out with the new graph and I cannot believe my eyes at how good this graph is..Im just stoked and appreciative all at one time..If you got a normal graph and it is not colored you dont know what you are missing..I fish for about 30 min and catch a few fish with this descent one...I hope everyone had a great holiday..
  19. You got that right NJ.. ;D...When it gets below 50 my blood freezes up lol..8 hrs in those temps and I would be frostee the snowman :
  20. Decided to go to Varner today instead of Lake Nuna..It was 51 to 53 water temps and extremely cloudy..The temp dropped to 50 after several days in the 60s and 70s..you would think it would be ideal conditions for jig fishing and worm fishing..Not varner...started slow and finished fast..caught a good many with no famous lunkers to talk about but did manage this fish on a trap in 3 ft of water..We fished about 3 hrs and my hands could not take it anymore..Here is the biggest fish we caught at 5.7 lbs..
  21. Nice fish dude..where you at and what was the temps...
