I added a 2nd garage door on the back garage wall....opens into the backyard where I put a carport. Best thing I have done for my boat. the carport has since had the 2nd side completed.

If I go in and I'm alone......I'm gonna climb on my outboard and trim up until I can climb over the top of the motor into the boat.

Powered trailer dollies are nice.....but a little expensive. I would try 'teflon' idea....maybe those white plastic cutting boards you can get a Wal-Mart cheaply. I would try some things and not be too quick to get rid of the boat.

I mount my cameras to the boat on 1" ram mounts with cam do battery eliminates so I don't have to worry about batteries dieing.

I love having gopros on my boat. I run 2 of them in a 5 minute loop. When someone catches a fish or something happens that I want video or a picture of.....I press the shutter button and the last 5 minutes of video is saved......then I have the video or I can pull stills off of the video. I used to almost never takes pics of my fish.....now I always take pics. I think youl 'll live it. Glad you got back deal.

I wear mine 100% of the time on the water. So do my wife and son. If we knew something was going to happen before it happened, we would avoid being in that place at that time.

2 fishermen lost their lives yesterday on Pickwick Lake. All the reports I have seen just say 'the boat went over the spillway for some reason'. I don't know if they will ever know what really happened or why. I understand the lake is at flood stage....they are pulling about 130k cu ft per second. The BassResource.com road trip started yesterday and runs through Sunday. Prayers to the families of the men who lost their lives. Prayers that our members will enjoy a safe trip. Fish smart and safe everyone.

I used the stick on readers for several years......have not worn them for the last year. they aren't too expensive.....might get a pair and try them to see if YOU like them....your opinion is all that really matters.?

That is a steep price.....in Oklahoma it's like $250. My wife and I have ours.....we will buy my son his on his 16th birthday. if I had the money and I were you......I would buy it.

I run 2 GoPro cameras on my boat.....not for that reason....but it would be a bonus. They run constantly recording in a 5 minute loop.......if that happens to me, I would let them rant for about 4 minutes and the casually walk over to the camera and press the shutter button twice....that saves the last 5 minutes of video and restarts the recording....in case there was a round 2 ? Like I said, just a bonus.....I have the camera to make pics of our catches and record funny things that happen on while out on the water with family and friends.....and some not so funny things like losing a trolling motor. you did the right thing.

I use a custom boat cover and a metal carport. Carport cost only about half of what the cover cost.

I am of the pursuasion that the batteries should be same size and age for batteries wired in series.........it hurts.....but when I bought my used boats.....I replaced all the batteries immediately. That way I felt like I had a better idea of where I stood.
