I Think they have tried to time the trips with the pre spawn........I could be wrong. The 5 years that I have been participating they have always been in early spring.....the first trips were 'official'......now they are 'unofficial' and we have just kept the original timing.

It still worked.....sold it for enough to cover the insurance deductible and bought another.

Originally I had cable steer. Then bought a motorguide xi5......I loved it! And hated it........the sound it made when it turned drove me nuts. Just sounded so loud to me. I know it was just me......but I went back to cable steer. Sure miss that pinpoint (spot lock) though. In the end you just have to do what makes YOU happy..

That's too bad Joe ? I buy and wear Amphibia Sunglasses - they float. In fact I dropped them in the drink 3 BassResource road trips ago.......twice on the last day! I'm pretty sure that was the road trip I met you on! The first time They floated right back up. A little later they were perched upon my hat.....pulled off my hat to wipe the sweat and they flew off and bounced off the gunwale.......with lenses popping out of the frames.....all landing in the water......frames popped back up......lenses don't float......ordered new lenses ($40) and still have them today!

Do search on Roadtrip. License fees vary by state.....Google fishing license for the state your interested in fishing. $40-50 probably. lodging varies depending on where we stay. usually averages $100-125/night.....sometimes more sometimes less. But that cost can be defrayed by sharing a room or cabin with others. We've usually stayed in Tennessee. After we get a head count I will be able to provide more accurate lodging cost.

Not a dumb question. As far as I know......the annual road trip has always been down south. 2 years ago the annual road trip was Toledo Bend......it was such a great time we decided to make it an annual trip in addition to the 'regular' trip.

We left the boat ramp around 05:30 Saturday....still dark.....fished til about 10:30....out before the majority of the lake lice were awake. ?

I've been using it for a few months now. It's the greatest stuff I've ever seen. Once I've applied it....I can throw any lure and hook up a fish.....a big fish! They seem to become very aggressive and kind of push the dinks out of the way. If you don't use this stuff....you're crazy! Just joshing ya. Had this been an actual endorsement you would have been instructed where to buy and send your money. Tight lines

Yes if you brought a boat there is usually someone who comes without a boat. At Toledo Bend.....I only used my boat 1 day and went out with someone else the other days. it always works out.....nobody is left at the dock.

That is what I used for a year with my single axle boat trailer.....John Deere 430. pulled up the hill ok......would not want to try it on the slope with my dual axle boat trailer. flat ground would be ok.......but it was a hefty garden tractor. Then I added this and sold the tractor.

You guys made me go out and find a set of Ultimate Bass Library Books. They will compliment my other Fishing book library. Plenty of reading for the winter.
