X2. i rely heavily on my hot maps using my Lowrance and any navigational markers. and it never hurts to ask for info from users here on the forum and at local bait shops and marinas.....take it all with a grain of salt and use it with the maps chip. EDIT: I agree 100% with Fishing Rhino below. I should have added in my post that I watch the sonar and give myself plenty of 'cushion' by using my map chip depth as a general guide and confirming with my sonar/depth finder.

We have fished 3 people to a boat in the past......as far as I know....there has never been anyone left standing at the dock/bank that wanted to go out in a boat.

People have flown down for these trips. Others will have to post as to the 1 piece rod question.

I have purchased 4 fishing rod retainers to replace the 2 wooden rod holders I have now. These new holders can be picked and easily carried out to the boat for loading and carried back in the house for storage.
