  1. Next time if you come across the school refusing to bite, try running a fast bait through them to get a reaction bite.
  2. Could the fish have been guarding a bed?
  3. Looks like he took a little swim with the bass
  4. Were you getting most of the fish on the drop or the retrieve?
  5. Nice fish. What did you catch it on?
  6. Wow, that is a nice sized crappie. The ones that I've caught are only 1/2 that size.
  7. You have been banned by the "LIKE" nazi! No like for you!
  8. If you are going to be using it for dropshotting, you won't need an expensive rod. Most any rod that is medium or medium light powered will do. Most any fish that bite your lure on your dropshot, you'll know it. I have a Berkley Lightning Shock 7' M spinning rod that I use for dropshots. Everytime something bites, the tip is soft enough that it gets tugged down...and I set the hook.
  9. Wrong section. But the Ugly Stik Catfish rod has served me well.
  10. I've seen other people do that before with domesticated bass. They come running (or swimming) when it is dinner time.
  11. From the stories, it would seem that getting hit by a tungsten weight can cause more damage than a regular lead weight?
  12. Nevermind. I just saw that it is $135 at TW with the Tax Stim sale.
  13. Until tonight, they are on sale online for $139. Have fun shopping. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=31684796&redirectfrmcatfam=true&prevCatId=62943986&prevcp=2460170
  14. I also have the 7' MH casting rod. Although the tip flexes a bit, it has a nice back bone. I believe that you can order the 6' rod from Walmart and have it shipped to your store. If you end up not liking it, you can return it to the store.
  15. I use snaps with out the barrel on all of my rods. I change lures very often and it helps me save time and not to cut line. I have not noticed much of a difference in the actions on my lures.
  16. It's been a long time since I've had 15 fish days....I am jealous!
  17. Wow, a 6, 4 and 5 in one trip. Great job!
  18. That's an odd looking bump on the back of the head.
  19. This might be a stupid question. How do you tell the difference between a bass that is full of eggs vs a fat bass with a big belly?
  20. Right now on Ebay, there is a store that is clearing out 3lb spools of the Yo-Zuri Hybrid Smoke 12lb line for less then $50 shipped. The 3lb spool is approximately 14400 yards! I picked up one for myself, but I wanted to let you all know since there are so many Yo-Zuri fans on this site. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YO-ZURI-HYBRID-12lb-14-400-yards-Smoke-NEW-/291315815459?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43d3c69423
  21. Dick's have Costas. But the models that they have in stock may vary from store to store.
  22. Please get a video, I'd love to see his face when he is eating crow.
  23. I'll probably end up sleeping through it....
  24. I am sorry to hear that. I hope that the lakes recover in time. I know that it will take years for the water to be replaced. I want to see the lakes back to their original glory.
