  1. I use the green Big Game in 12lb and 15lb for various soft plastic lures. I like it just fine and see no reason to change. It's plenty sensitive for me.
  2. I use both. When it is dead calm, I will use the single blade. But when there is more noise going on (wind, dogs, geese, etc), I will use my double blade for extra noise. I have caught lots of fish on both, but the largest ones came on the double blade.
  3. I have it's bigger brother, the Avenger 30a. It has served me well over the last 3 years that I've had it. I've used it to reel in bass, carp and catfish. The drag is plenty strong. And it has not let me down. The only minor thing that you may need to watch out for is the graphite handle. With enough use and rubbing against your hand/fingers, the silver paint will rub off. But of course that is just cosmetic.
  4. I watched the video last night. I don't use frogs normally, but if I did the Sebile one would be in my tacklebox. I like the free swinging hook concept...assuming that it doesn't get hung up.
  5. Thanks for the tip. I did the same thing and scored 10 packs.
  6. I agree with A-Jay. I use my MH spinnerbait rod for Scroungers and Chatterbaits as well.
  7. Are you planning to open your own store or what?
  8. Thanks Choporoz, I will have to take a little field trip down there tonight. Were they specially marked or do you have to take them to the counter?
  9. Is this the Dicks in Woodbridge? The ones in Springfield were normal price at $160.
  10. The Rage rods are the regular price $169....I feel so let down.
  11. I'll have to check the price on the Rage rods. The label show the regular price, but I could get lucky.
  12. I wish that our DSG had Shimano Crucials...
  13. Don't you just love great deals? I'll have to check out some of my other DSG places for deals. Merry Christmas!! Santa is here early!
  14. I wanna play!
  15. Just stopped by the local DSG to see what they have. In their display rack they had a Pflueger Patriarch marked down from $199 to $150. And I asked the associate to scan the SKU, the price came back 50% off at $75. So it seems the sale items at my store are discounted an additional 50%. I hope that this is not just an isolated incident. BTW, I bought that Patriarch....too good of a deal not to pass up.
  16. You got a steal of a deal right there. Good job.
  17. I don't know of any advertised sales. But I think that I'll have to stop by after work just to make sure.
  18. Those prices for Dick's are normal prices for us in Northern VA.
  19. I do that after every outing too. I also take the opportunity to clean the line using KVD conditioner. It's amazing how much junk accumulates on the line.
  20. Glad that you had a good time. I hope that you didn't get too soaked.
  21. Not sure if you know this, but Abu Garcia and Berkley are both part of Pure Fishing. So they are in the same family.
  22. I wonder if the other Abu rods are glued together like that.
  23. Were all those fish over a couple of days?? They are nice looking fish. Congrats.
  24. The size of that mouth is incredible!! It can probably swallow a bowling ball.
