  1. I have been catching most of my fish on inline spinners this year including the Mepps #3.
  2. Did they take the fish out? If not they could be easier to catch since there isn't as much water.
  3. I like the way it looks but the quality control on them are horrible. I ordered 6 combos for a fishing trip and they all had cosmetic damage. I know they are cheap rods but I still would like them to be in new condition. I returned them so I do not know how they fish.
  4. Looking at those teeth, I'd say that the fish grip came in handy. Nice fish!!
  5. I removed some front trebles from my lures. I haven't lost any fish....but I also haven't caught many fish either. I do it to reduce snags, but also for safety. Having a free swinging treble scares me if I have to lip a bass.
  6. Most of the Zman worms float.
  7. The Berkley Lightning Shock is a pretty good deal for $40 at Walmart.
  8. Sure, under the right conditions. I had my best day ever with a chatterbait....19 bass in about 3 hours.
  9. I don't have a full set of rods because the ponds and lakes that I fish don't require all those rods. Three rods will do the trick for me.
  10. Here in VA, we have bluegills and bass on beds at the same time.
  11. A few of my Panther Martin spinners came with single hooks on them. They seem to hold the fish very well, at least as well as the trebles.
  12. Any stories of people catching DD bass on their first outing?
  13. Nice video. I am a big fan of inline spinners too!
  14. I would use a shiny inline spinnerbait.
  15. I do have it in the gallon size....it just makes me use it more because I have so much of it.
  16. Every few months? More like every outing. I am addicted to that stuff.
  17. I have snaps on my rods. I usually fish from the bank, so taking more than 2 rods is difficult. The snaps makes changing lures 100x easier. I don't think that it keeps the fish from biting.
  18. I am waiting for my order of spinners from Panther Martin too. Should be here tomorrow. I am interested to see what new stuff they have in the catalog.
  19. I like the Strike King tri-blade buzzbait. I can run it super slow with the 3 blades.
  20. Black buzzbait would work well also. Just a standard retrieve, nothing special.
  21. I sometimes do. I like the flex of a fiberglass rod for chatterbaits. Same for all my moving baits. It gives the fish more time to eat the bait.
  22. Currently I am big on Mepps and Terminator inline spinners: Mepps 1/3oz Gold blade Mepps 1/2oz Black Fury Terminator 3/8oz Gold blade Terminator 5/8oz Silver blade
  23. From what I heard, they are pretty tough like Ugly Stiks. What do you want to use it for?
  24. Wow, your first bass was on a jig!! You are way ahead of the curve.
  25. I have some, but haven't throw them very much yet. They swim nice in the water though.
