  1. I liked the Dodge one where they had people over 100 talking about life and the guy at the end lighting up the rear tires on a challenger.
  2. Could you dig around/up root them a bit then tie a tow chain or something like it around the stump and pull them out of the ground with the tractor/truck?
  3. Does a hula grub count?
  4. I'm just wondering how a company would sue itself?
  5. Hey Matt, Welcome to br you may want to change your username to hogzilla because those are some hogs. Nice work.
  6. 175 plus or minus. Basically from 4/1-11/30 depending on the weather. A majority of these trips are 1-2 hours after or before work. Last year I went out on the boat or canoe 30-40 but hope to put more time on the boat this season.
  7. 03 path finder 1k in tow about 17-20 without a boat I would guess 15-16 with. I can't even feel it behind the suv. Plus the boat launch is 3 miles away. I'm a lucky guy.

This was a good Saturday afternoon for me high 60's low 70's over cast slight breeze. The one in the upper right smashed my fluke a foot from the transom scared the crap out me. Don't want to wish my life away but can't wait to get back out there.
  9. 8 lucky craft pointers for $40. I'm very excited to try these in the spring hoping they work half as good as the gunfish I bought last summer.

I worked as a tax preparer last year and I saw that happen more than once. Can make for quite an imteresting evening.
  11. What cracks me up is all these scenes of people at the supermarket. Now I don't want to judge or know everyone's situation but are really that many people who don't have enough food to hold them over for a day or two at most? I dunno I don't get it. It's the northeast same thing happens every year and some how civilization marches on. Except that storm in western New York at the beginning of the year. That was crazy.
  12. Very nice; all I have to say is man I'm lucky I don't live near mudhole otherwise I'd be broke living in a shack made out of fishing rods.
  13. That's sounds like one sweet rod. Really digging the black and silver theme. I'm excited too see this take shape.
  14. Don't these sell for $40 on that auction site from China?
  15. I was thinking of an answer to your question Cy, but think this really is the best one.
  16. I fish only braid on my spinning reels and love it. There is one major draw back though and that is slack line sensitivity. Make a cast into the wind and get a large bow in your line and you will have a hard time feeling the bottom. Leave your bait in place on the bottom and drop your rod tip you will have a hard time feeling the bottom or a bite. How many fish has this lost me? I dunno. There are always trade offs to be made. There is a writer for in fisherman that has wrote an article or two about finessing and he prefers flouro. I might give it a try but don't want a dedicated bottom contact rig. Time will tell but for me the trade offs with braid are worth it at this point.
  17. Do they suck as in durability or in that they don't catch fish?
  18. Yes it would. I gather many peoples first rods don't turn out how they expect. Sometimes it's better to learn on something less expensive if mistakes will bother you. I have been in a mode now where I like to try different things on less expensive blanks and take what I like and carry it forward on more expensive projects.
  19. One of my favorites is stcroix sc3 medium light fast. About double the mhx but it's my favorite so the $$ doesn't matter much to me. One thing to look at are the butt and tip dimensions. An example I recently purchased an rx7 sj781. This rod is rated as a light power but truth be told I think it will have more power that the ml stcroix. The butt on the croix is .4xx Compared to .5xx on the rx7. I bought the rx7 without looking at these dimensions and just going off the numbered power; with the hopes it would be lighter than the croix but that is not the case. Not a big deal as it's still a nice blank and I think will work great for casting grubs but just wanted to throw something else in the mix for you to think about
  20. Yes a shimano compre. I had a few cold ones and decided to test its durability and well the rest is history.
  21. Excited to see how this handles some brown fish in the summer. Might end up having the brown fish handing it to me; either way should be fun.
  22. Buy the best you can get for $250 as that. Just don't troll with it.
  23. Try a weedless tube.
